Swipe for pictures of me with long & short hair!! Help me!! Honestly.. everyday I change my mind about how I want my hair.. I’ve had my hair short for the last 3 years & I do love it! But do I try grow my hair out again & see if I like long hair more? I do love being able to be more creative with my hair 🤔
Apparently you shouldn’t ask your hairdresser what to do..

Claimed—this one is to go in my purse because alas it never fails I will get a tangle to end all tangles while out. Handleless with rugged teeth and made from some absolutely gorgeous, curly, spalted walnut, this became “mine” about halfway through the process. Trying to make a living or not, sometimes you just know when you really can’t part with a piece. Once again, I made this using scrap pieces of wood—a rising from the ashes thing of beauty. .

After the show Saturday, I got all the way changed into p.j.s before I realized that I forgot to take a photo as proof of my first ever brush out!☺ (it was too hard to see my hair against my black tee, so I put the cardigan back on) It took me ages to find a way of curling my super long hair that worked for me 😑

6 years ago I was staring at a woman with hair as long as mine is now (maybe even longer), feeling so horrible that I had ever chopped up my hair the year prior, wondering how I could have ever been so insecure & in need of change that I would once again destroy one of my favorite attributes.
It's dramatic af, but I've cut my hair every time I was in a lot of emotional pain. I think I'm too chicken shit to self-harm, this was my way of getting the outside to reflect the inside. I've even butchered my hair with kitchen scissors in a blind panic attack, that's fucking crazy, right? I'm sharing this, despite how embarrassing it is to admit, because I want you to know that even when you feel like you are FUCKING CRAZY & do something ABSOLUTELY INSANE, there's a light at the end of the tunnel if you just carve it out... Or even reach out to someone who can help you carve it out. It doesn't define who you are. ❤️ My hair is now 29" long from the top of my head to my back, the longest layer being 27". In all my anguish, I haven't let it get this long since I was a child. Shit happens & then you learn & grow.
Also, got this H&M sweater off Poshmark, guys I think I'm obsessed.

For many people, the salon-quality blowdry is one of the little luxuries after your absolutely necessary colour and cut. A salon blowdry leaves you looking and feeling your very best, the perfect treat for a night out, lunch with the girls or even just feeling that bit special on a Tuesday. Taking time out of our busy days for ourselves can sometimes be a real challenge, particularly for those of us who are parents, it is often the small moment of luxury and me-time that we need to get a new perspective on life.⠀ ⠀⠀
Here are our 5 BIG BENEFITS to having a salon blowdry…⠀ ⠀⠀
A professional blowdry always lasts much longer than anything you can do at home. These are the advantages of professional skills and the best tools of the trade! Add just a little dry shampoo through the week and with a few styling tricks, you can get up to a week’s worth of wear out of a salon blowdry. The time you save in washing and styling your hair makes the cost of a salon blowdry worthwhile!⠀⠀
You get the salon relaxation feeling without the price tag. Enjoy the chance to take time out for yourself, take a break and get a coffee in salon, without having to pay for the full cut, colour and treatment each time. It’s only a quick appointment to have a proper blowdry, which you can squeeze in between your other commitments and come out the other side feeling relaxed and refreshed like you have done something truly luxe for yourself. And, for our new clients, you will have the chance to see how amazing our stylists are at Escarla.⠀⠀
You can learn how to style your hair. Having issues styling your hair at home? Not quite getting the look you are going for? Watch your stylist as they blowdry your hair and ask questions. Whether it is time-saving products, new techniques or perfecting that straightening iron curl, a blowdry offers an insight into the hairdresser magic that you can then replicate at home. Keep your hair feeling fresh and beautiful for longer!⠀⠀
You can trial new styling products. At Escarla, we use styling products that get the job done! With product brand like Keune we can show you the specific products you need if you want to replicate a salon blowdry at home.

ambition is not a dirty word. its believing in yourself and your abilities. what would happen if we were all brave enough to be a little more ambitious?
question to my inbox: how often should i wash my hair with Monat?
the short answer is, as often as you would normally wash your hair with any other shampoo.
the long answer 👇
Monat is providing a little bit of good stuff every time you use it. when you wash, you get a bit of the beneficial ingredients on top of a great cleansing that doesn't over strip the scalps natural oils. every time you condition, you are getting a bit of the beneficial ingredients, along with humectants and emollients. when you use Monat styling products and treatments, you are getting even more of the beneficial ingredients.
the longer that you go between washing means you are getting less of the good stuff. this doesn't mean you need to wash daily. there is no hygienic reason to wash every day unless you work in a very dirty environment. .
when considering frequency of washing, think about a person who washes every other day, and someone who washes 2x a week. The first person is getting about twice the amount of beneficial ingredients than the one who is washing less frequently.
in my opinion, every other day, every 3rd at the outside is best regarding getting the most out of your Monat experience. .
when i personally started using Monat, i was shampooing every other day. now, 15 months in, day 4 hair super common for me but only out of laziness! 🤷♀️😂
