This is a Picture of my Mother and i on the left and my grandmother on the right.
For the past few months I have been on a bit of a journey searching for my Mom's birth parents. She was adopted as a baby and unfortunately knew nothing of them. She was born and raised in #Salzburg
thus I knew that my search would be relatively difficult. However with the assistance of a few awesome people living in Austria, I managed to discover not only the identities of her parents ,but I managed to get a picture of her birth mother. This is a big deal, as this is the first time my mother (and myself ) have managed to see a picture of her.
Unfortunately she passed away in 2010, however being able to add a picture to the name and delve a bit further has been such a blessing. I also discovered that my mother has 3 siblings. Unfortunately two of them have passed, however one is still alive and I am hoping to make a connection soon...
This is her mother Cäcilia Löcker
My next goal is to find information on her Birth Father. All i know is according to court documents. He was an American Soldier stationed in Austria back in the early 1950's and his name is Earnest Benson.
If any of you have experience in researching Ancestry or know anyone that can help, please tag them in this post or feel free share it if you can). I think it would be an awesome way to Surprise my mother and hopefully put the pieces together.
Thank you everyone .
