The doggo got me up super early this morning so that he can potty 😭 or should I say on time 🙄 so why not get into some #fridayintroductions
! ▪1▪ I'm sometimes a morning person, just depends what I have to get up for 🤣 if it's for a session, wedding, adventure - basically anything fun, my 🍑 is getting up.▪2▪I'm also sometimes a night owl 🦉 and usually because I'm up doing work 😅 ▪3▪I love and hate naps. Love them for when I know I need them. Hate them because sometimes I feel I waste part of my day napping, when I could be doing something productive! Hmm. Now I'm debating if I wanna snooze or #getdatassup
and start my day 🤔
Give us that perfect, moody light every day. Our clients are so incredibly talented. Photo by our friends at @adventureinstead.

Human goals, love goals, but most seriously- HAIR GOALS. 🙌🏻 Peep Justin's baby braid & Carly's dragon mane. Hope this photo makes your heart smile as big as it makes mine!!! 🐉🖤🔥
I can’t believe these two are getting married tomorrow and I can’t wait to see them! I have known Lisa since high school and it’s so fun how life brings you around to people again. 🙌
Bouncing into the weekend like It's Friiiidaaayyyyy!
I've got another busy weekend ahead with a women's event hosted by @natsaidthat
tomorrow and one more wedding show on Sunday.
I'll be editing all day today so I can get things off my computer and into the hands of people awaiting their photos; so if you're trying to reach me, please be patient while I keep my priorities and list of things to do in check.
Even though I'll be sitting in front of my computer screen most of the day today, I'll be dancing and throwing flower petals around in my head, because I'm basically a flower child stuck in an adult-ish body.😄
Cheers to the busy weekend, ya'll!
I clearly remember meeting with Bianca & JC for coffee a month before their Wedding to go over the final details. I sat at a table outside with JC while Bianca walked to the counter to order her drink. It was a cool day but the sun was shining brightly. JC carefully inspected the table we sat at & then suddenly said “I’m so sorry but can we sit at that table over there? With a bit of shade? I know Bianca & she’s going to want to sit in the sun, but not directly face the sun. She needs a little shade, but not too much. It’s weird but I know exactly what she’ll want.” And honestly it just clicked.... Isn’t it weird & funny that all of a sudden you know that other person even better than you know yourself? It’s amazing to me that love makes you remember even the tiniest details. It’s the little gestures that go the furthest & that right there is why I’m a hopeful romantic 😭😍 #sothisislove

My sweet little surprise baby is now 4 months old. Which also means I haven’t slept more than a few hours a night in four months. This fact doesn’t make him any less beautiful or precious to me though. Sleep or no sleep, I will always love him 👼
Fall came and left 🍂 Here is the rain 🌧 Depositing fresh water so that flowers can bloom again soon 💐 & theeenn it’s going to be pretty with blooms everywhere but theen (my favorite part) SUMMER! Sandy life all day! 😆 I’m not going to lie this whole post was about summer lol But also here are these angels playing in the Fall! Aren’t they just heart eyes! 😍
“Two are better than one.”
I absolutely love how all of the bridesmaids rallied around this beautiful bride and prayed for her before walking down the aisle. Each played such a pivotal role in her life and it was powerful to witness and capture 🙌🏻
Matt and Tamara are going get hitched tomorrow! First wedding of the year for us is going to be a great one! 🙌🏻 /// #photographybythemcfarlands
My favorite A + C in the sea and an irrelevant, long-winded caption below //
Today I was embarrassed. Because I love writing, I cherish beautiful words even over photos (am I allowed to say that?), but I didn’t know who Mary Oliver was while she was alive. I was thisclose to just slapping a piece of poetry in a caption and calling it a day, but I feel like there’s more valuable and honest things I could share:
1- I hope I can learn to show I value people before it’s too late. Seeing all these beautiful outpourings of gratitude toward Mary Oliver makes me think –– who are those people to me? Who are the people whose words and actions have deeply impacted me and may be completely unaware? I want to tell them.
2– It turns out, I had known some of her words, I just didn’t know they were hers. “Tell me what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” That idea has been etched on my heart since I heard it. I loved her without knowing her because those words have been my true north when deciding on my biggest life moves. The idea that you can profoundly impact someone’s life without them ever knowing it was you is insane and beautiful. It makes me think hard about the things I say, even in passing, out of love or hate. Words matter.
3- While thinking about the above words today, I heard Gary Haugen (founder of @ijm
) on a podcast say, “I would much rather have difficulty than easy meaninglessness.” And he talked a lot about justice (duh). And for some reason that might not make sense written out like this, it was a full-circle moment of clarity. I needed to be reminded of those old words while hearing these new words, and I’ll try to explain why–– tomorrow so I can do it justice. But in the meanwhile, I hope all those words move you a little like they moved me. Thank you, Mary Oliver, for creating that clarifying space for my impossibly scattered brain.
Who’s ready for a bundled up weekend? 🥶

“Not everyone believes in her and not everyone supports her, but her god goes with her and that’s what sustains her.” @morganharpernichols
|| such a good quote.
sorry I’m having a brain fart. I’ll think of a better caption tomorrow🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Posting this pretty photo of a gorgeous couple in a glowing field... when my reality is a little different. I’m currently sitting at my desk with a million cups/mugs on it, wearing sweaty workout clothes from this morning, and I have a house with puppy paw prints all over the floor and shoes scattered everywhere (apparently the best toys ever) 😂. Is it almost the weekend?! 🤗🐶🌧
to when Dennis and Michelle got engaged and also my first ever time shooting anything wedding related! A.k.a a proposal. But I mean how cute is this moment? I didn't stage it. It just kinda happened. And I'm so glad I was clicking away like crazy because I wouldn't have captured it otherwise. So a little history: I first met Dennis when I was a senior in high school, and he was the new youth pastor at the church I was attending. Dennis poured his heart into the youth and grew the youth group like no one else. But at the same time, he was also eagerly waiting for the moment he'd meet the one he could spend the rest of his life with. Fast forward a few years, and thanks to a friend of his, he met Michelle. And, well, the rest is history. Little did I know that I'd be the one capturing this moment, and I'm grateful that I could! I'm constantly amazed at how God is weaving people into my life and opening up opportunities that I would've never dreamed of. Can I give you a little teaser? I'll be shooting a dear friend's wedding in less than a month...in Hawaii...I know! I just couldn't keep this to myself any longer. But that's another story for another time:)
Wedding season kicks off for me this weekend, and I can’t wait for all the wedding joy that 2019 will bring. In the meantime I’ll leave you with this stunning shot!
