Moving from #Alaska
is not an easy task. Heck, moving to Alaska isn't either. Both ways we sold most of our stuff. How did we accumulate so much stuff? It still baffles me. Living in a small RV now, I'm more mindful of what is coming in and what needs to go. Do I actually need that Instapot or can I just cook rice normal 😂? That is an example of what I think about a lot. There are is only So much space. So I have become more of a #minimalist
But becoming and staying one is just like being an Alaskan and then leaving it behind. We are what we choose to be in the moments of everyday life.
This painting reminds me of a life I left behind. But also a life chosen everyday. A new one full of seeing new places, meeting new friends and becoming more free.
Free from what? Well, I'm more free from stuff, free from not enough funds for travel (house payments can do that), free from a one hour commute, free from a lot of obligations. All which I could have chosen in Alaska to be free from, but it took a radical life change, like traveling the U.S. to realize I can choose again. Choice is a daily gift.
