6 weeks have gone by and my personal #6weekschallenge
journey has come to an end right before I left for Bangkok. .
Some asked what was it about and if challenges are effective.
YES. But like the name suggest it is a challenge. It isn’t supposed to be easy. It’s supposed to take you out of your comfort zone to do something for yourself to get to a better place or hopefully your happy place.
6 weeks ago I was not in a good place. I just came back from traveling for 2 months, didn’t eat well, I wasn’t consistent with our workout. My anxiety was on an all time high. I was always anxious and I seem to flip out easily. I lost my grounding a little bit. I needed a momentum, somewhere I can go to when I’m feeling stressed, sad, anxious, whatever and so I challenged myself. To do something everyday even if I didn’t feel like it. Because I knew I would feel 100000x better when I’m done even it was a 10 minutes flow.
My intrinsic goal was to love myself again. Have a positive perspective no matter how hard things are going. I needed that accountability. - For Myself
Alright, I’m preaching. I’ll stop. All in all. I came out of it stronger because it was a constant reminder to stop chasing that feeling ‘ready’ or ‘good’ feeling to do anything. There’s no such thing as being ready or more awake for anything. It’s what you make it to be, your perception, my goal is to chase that those post-workout-endorphins not just about doing the workout. .
What I created is bigger than the physical change, I feel more balanced, emotionally I was in check even when I felt overwhelmed. There were definitely days I didn’t wanna work out but I told myself even if it was rolling out the mat to stretch was dedicating time for myself. A challenge isn’t always about smashing the weights at the gym. It’s taking the time out FOR YOURSELF to think, to breathe, to reset and center yourself again even when there are a million things going on or you’re not feeling your best. .
