🍴 The Glasgow branch of Vapiano will open on Buchanan Street on 30th January. Vapiano (pictured) has restaurants around the world and their concept is interesting: food is made to order and cooked by chefs at cooking stations in front of the diners, diners are invited to customise their pizza, pasta and salads with the herbs growing in the mini herb garden on each of the tables, and as diners pick their items they are noted on a smart card and the total bill is paid at a central pay station as they exit. The pasta and dolci are made fresh each day and the pizza dough, sauces and dressing, and pesto are all prepared in-house.
🇺🇸 Monty's in Radnor Street in Finnieston is in the process of becoming 10 10. The menu focus has switched from Scottish to North American, with an all day brunch menu, 20 varieties of burgers, hot dogs, poutine and deli sandwiches.
🍺 The Dirty Duchess is opening in Finnieston in what was formerly The Duchess of Argyle Street. They will serve food from a carousel kitchen with a rotating line-up of street food vendors, starting with Babu Bombay Kitchen.
