What did the mother cow say to the baby cow?
It's pasture bedtime.
Culla Bay, Benbecula || After a long day of editing, escaping to this little bay was just what I needed. Sitting on the rocks, watching the tide come in and the sun go down, with only the oystercatchers for company became my way of unwinding. I’ve yet to find a place this peaceful on the mainland 💫
Just realised my insta has been featuring a lot of my dial recently so back to Hebridean photos, starting with this one from Friday night ❤️
Abandoned house number one, Callanish.
🌅 We didn’t get the best weather on our trip to the Uists, but just one evening like this made up for it!
Looking out to the tiny uninhabited island of Fuday from Eriskay pier.
It once apparently had around 7 people living on it, but for over 100 years now only seabirds and otters have called it home!
This time last week..
Hebridean dreaming, Horgabost.
A patchwork of peat bogs, low hills and lochans with more than half of the land being covered by water.
From the west side of the island, there's a road that takes you to the summit of Clettraval hill where you can look out to the distant peaks of St Kilda and the Monach Isles. One day I'll get closer...
The Fisherman's Hut, Scalpay.
The Coilleag a’ Phrionnsa on Eriskay. Named for Bonnie Prince Charlie, as this was the spot where he first set foot on Scotland back in 1745.
There must be worse places to come ashore!
