I ate a paleo diet for 9 months last year. I learned a lot about myself, what I liked and what I didn't when it comes to food. Even eating a ketogenic diet now for the last 4 months I've learned a lot. The main takeaway for me is I have to teach myself to eat properly, to eat mindfully. There's a reason I was heavy a lot of my life. It certainly wasn't by accident.
I have to practice self restraint every day. I cannot eat whatever I want, whenever I want and not experience consequences. I am finding balance between instant gratification and self control. I am unlearning behaviors that have been around since I was a child through this process. I'm learning to eat consciously and intuitively for my body. I'm learning to love and respect my body. Any one of those are huge lessons by themselves.
I enjoyed eating paleo and I enjoy eating keto. My intent is to find a healthy balance between the two that is sustainable for life. 💚

Today’s lunch was simple yet delicious.
I haven’t been working out like I should this month, so I’m trying to keep my eating 100% to at least prevent wait gain. But I need to start soon with my workout routine.
#LATERGRAM 🤷🏽♀️ SNACKKKSSSS! Oh man!!! I was having a HUGE craving for DORITOS GWAAAAA!!! 😫😫😫🤫 Haha But @eatprotes came to the rescue! Yayyy!!! I paired my chips w/ a homemade Onion Dip (Daisy Sour Cream & TJ’s Onion Salt) & a Coke Zero! This is my first diet soda in awhile... Don’t Judge Me! Haha Meh, Go ahead... Judge! I don’t care! 🤣 Any-who back to these protein chips! I am really digging the Spicy Chili Lime, they are actually delish and ONLY (4NC) for the whole baggy 🙌🏽 I’ve tried all their flavors and my fave are the # 1 Spicy Chili Lime, # 2 Zesty Nacho & # 3 Tangy Southern BBQ... they also have sweet too. Toasted Coconut & Salted Caramel... they are good but I prefer the SAVORY ones! You know bc I miss Doritos & Tortilla Chips 😋 YUM!!! Ok now I want NACHOS!!! This recipe was adapted from my favorite fat bomb recipe: “chocolate chip cookie dough fat bombs” by @paleomomnoms (that’s what you Google!).
I used cookie butter flavored peanut spread from @nutsnmore and OH MY GOSH. I left out the chocolate chips because the cookie butter is higher in carbs than the peanut or almond butter I usually use (my usual/favorite is the birthday cake flavored almond butter from @buffbake , but GNC didn’t have it when I went to get it today).
Perfect for when you’re having sweet tooth attacks but need to keep carbs low. SWIPE TO 2nd AND 3rd PICS FOR MACROS! My batch made 23 fat bombs.... probably could’ve made 24 but I was generous when filling the molds 🤷🏼♀️. Macros in photo are for 1 fat bomb- 1.6 net carbs each.

THE APP I USE TO TRACK MY FOOD/CALCULATE MACROS IS CALLED “LOSE IT.” Macros will vary based on brands and such, so always calculate your own with whatever ingredients YOU use- I just provide mine for reference and general info. The recipe “card” was made using a template on the app “Photofy.”

Jag har känt att jag vart påväg att droga i flera veckor men inte vetat hur jag ska bryta trenden. Jag har tänkt att det löser sig men jag har inte arbetat med mina redskap. Beroendehjärnan har lurat mig när jag inte var vaksam och jag tänkte att jag vinner ju ändå, jag har ju så många dagar bakom mig.
Nej det spelar ingen roll hur många dagar jag hade för jag var inte vaksam. Jag trodde att jag var smartare än min sjukdom. FEL.
För en månad sedan var jag livrädd för att eller om detta skulle hända, hur skulle jag må och skulle jag fastna totalt igen?
Idag känner jag med den huvudvärk som kommit som följd att det blir tuffa dagar igen. Börja om. Ta de första stegen igen. Jag känner mig inte livsrädd, även om jag nu är högst medveten om hur fort det kan gå.
Ändå har jag en sådan koll på hur jag betett mig de senaste veckorna och även igår när det hände. Jag har observerat och VET nu hur jag måste göra annorlunda när det börjar smyga på mig nästa gång. Motivationen är inte på topp men det behöver den inte vara heller. Nu ska jag ta en titt på mina redskap, göra upp en plan och skriva dagbok. Hitta en morgonrutin som fungerar för mig och anta mig idag. För idag kan jag ha kontroll över. Idag ska jag vara sockerfri.

NOT A HAPPY CAMPER 💔 I got home 😩 and when I unwrapped my burger it was not yummy at all.... Ahhhhh! DANG! They wrapped my burger w/ two miserable little tiny pieces of lettuce, both limp and lifeless, brown and gross 😝 LIKE REALLY! And I couldn’t go back to show them bc I was already at home... FUDGE!!! Seriously Habit!!! If y’all are gonna offer Protein Style Burgers, Imma need y’all to DO BETTER, PLEASE! 🙏🏽 I mean ILU guys a lot BUT I need more than two wimpy pieces of lettuce... 🤦🏽♀️ SMH!!! Dinner tonight was SUPPOSED to be low carb hibachi fake-out BUT hubby informed me he promised Thing One we could order pizza. So instead we ordered the kids their favorite Papa Johns and I made fathead pizza for us (not repeating last week’s PJs mistake!).
If you haven’t made fathead pizza before, FEAR NOT! If you swipe through these pics, you’ll see the macros breakdown of each piece (of THIS pizza using the toppings and brands I used- always calculate your own if you use anything different), as well as the recipe I used.
I combined elements from 2 different fathead dough recipes to make this- some from @ruledme and some from @peaceloveandlowcarb. Then I topped it with a lower carb pizza sauce I found at Kroger (SWIPE for specifics- I like that it doesn’t have any funky ingredients), some more mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, crumbled crispy bacon, and some Parmesan cheese.

I cut it into 6 pieces (macros shown are for 1 piece). So good there were no leftovers... I had 2 pieces, hubby ate the rest.

Tonight we had Instant Pot Smothered Pork Chops from ruled.me. The recipe went really easily and the result was delicious! I think the gravy was a bit salty for my taste but that is likely due to my “ehh.... it’s good enough” method of measuring salt. The pork chops are juicy and just fall apart when you eat them. The gravy is rich, creamy, earthy from the mushrooms, and meaty from sautéing the pork chops. The massive pile of asparagus beside it was tossed in avocado oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic then sprinkled with Parmesan and roasted on a sheet pan at 425 for 15 minutes or so. The ones that came out crispy were my favorites and I think that collectively, I’ve never eaten this much asparagus in my life. And it’s never been in enjoyment. All in all a great meal! 🥓
