Hello everyone, I haven't posted my progress pictures because I would like to wait until I feel confident enough to do so. My sister (a.k.a. my best friend) was calling me crazy because of my high fat diet, she used excuses and said keto was too complicated. After her first baby she gained weight and in order to have a second baby she needed to lose weight & also to feel better with the mirror, she was doing balanced diets over & over again with no results until I begged her to give keto a chance. She finally decided to do it but she would cheat every other week, again, no results. I did keto last year but stopped by xmas season & it wasn't until june (her birthday) that I decided to make an unbreakable promise with her (yes, wizarding world style), that we would be keto until we both reached our goal and then switch to low carb. You can see my very first post, when I made her Hagrid's cake, keto version. And we haven't been kicked out of ketosis ever since. Right now we are both about 15-20 lbs to our goal, we have lazy keto weeks and very strict weeks, but we do not cheat because we made this promise to each other. Every weekend we visit our parents and make keto food for each other or try new dessert recipes to share. We help each other out, and even when I am the nutritionist, she is super updated with all the keto info online and even I copy her menu's. She has also coached friends to turn keto with such great results. She is such an inspiration to me & I want you guys to see her results so you can know how proud I am of my big sis. One of my all time favorite restaurant appetizers is Beer Cheese. When you think about the food “Beer Cheese” your mind immediately thinks that there is no way that it can be keto/low carb. When made with say a @millerlite
or a @michelobultra
you’re only adding about 1g of carb per serving. Scoop it up with a some pork skins and the macros are actually perfect.
Ingredients: lite beer of choice, provolone cheese, cream cheese, peppadew peppers, garlic salt, paprika.

and lunch was ready 🤤 👉🏻1.25 lbs of chicken breast
👉🏻2 stalks of celery, diced
👉🏻1-2 medium carrots,diced
👉🏻1/4 of an onion, diced
👉🏻1/4 c of cream cheese
👉🏻1 c buffalo wing sauce 🍴Toss it all in the instant pot for 15 minutes, shred the chicken, and voila 😍 🍽I toasted the buns, added the chicken and topped with ranch.

2 c. shredded mozzarella
4 oz. cream cheese
2 large eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. almond flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. kosher salt
8 hot dogs
4 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley
Mustard, for serving
Preheat oven to 400° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt together mozzarella and cream cheese.
Add eggs and stir to combine then add almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
Divide dough into 8 balls then shape each ball into long ropes.
Wrap a rope around each hot dog.
In a small bowl whisk together butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
Brush garlic butter over each hot dog then bake until golden, 1o-15 minutes.
Serve with mustard.

🥗Whoa, what a lunch. I’m breaking all the rules of #toasttuesdays
today and bringing you this gorgeous veggie salad. -
It’s day 2 of our detox which means we start our day with a #monomeal
for breakfast (today’s was mango), followed by this gorgeous veggie salad for lunch. And in the evenings we have protein and veggies for dinner. -
Easy peasy | Serves 2 | 800 calories for the whole thing -
Beetroot, pecan & feta salad -
400g butternut squash, peeled and chopped
Sprinkle of salt, pepper and red chili powder
2 tsp olive oil
2 cooked beetroot, peeled and chopped
100g mixes leaves
1/2 red onion, sliced into semi circles
100g tenderstem broccoli, chopped
80g feta cheese
40g pomegranate seeds
20g mixed seeds (I used pumpkin, sesame and pine nuts)
30g pecan nuts
1 tsp Manuka honey
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar -
✔️Toss the squash in 1 tsp olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and pepper and red chili powder. And put in oven at 160 degrees for 40 mins till it goes crispy on the edges.
✔️Heat 1 tsp olive oil to a pan and add the broccoli and onions till they both soften.
✔️Toast the seeds in the oven in a tray alongside the squash.
✔️In a bowl, add the squash, mixed salad leaves, beetroot, broccoli and onion. ✔️Top with the mixed seeds, nuts pomegranate leaves, and the feta.
✔️Make the dressing by mixing the balsalmic vinegar with the honey and pour it over the salad. Enjoy 👌🏾

Apple Almond Tart - This is a great combination, and a healthy dessert choice. Apples are an absolutely scrumptious fruit, and almonds are close to being the most perfect nut. Together, they are irresistible.⠀
The apple slices laid across the tart look delicious, and this tart was a perfect breakfast choice, along with a cup of green tea.👩🏽🍳🍰☕️🥛
Lately I’ve been using food as a crutch.
Not as unhealthily as some points in my life (thank god), but I’ve definitely noticed a direct correlation of not feeling satisfied from primary foods, then almost immediately reaching for something that tastes good.
It was almost getting comedic.🙄
Primary foods are what feed your soul—relationships, career, spirituality, physical activity, home environment, social life—the stuff that matters more than literal food.
So if you’re trying to fill a primary void with food, it will never be filled. I would eat but then it was like it never even happened, it didn’t matter.
The reverse was true too. When something really made me happy on a deep level, I was like who cares about food? I’ll eat when I need to. But honestly that was a fleeting feeling…
To make matters worse, the more I get into my head (or escape out of it), the less connected I feel to my body,
The easier it is to not take care of it,
Make poor food/sleep/lifestyle choices that make you feel worse,
Then you look in the mirror with bags under your eyes, bloating, & acne and disconnect from yourself even more.
It’s a slippery downward spiral.
So my goal this week: stay present in my body, feel, breathe, appreciate these organs, tissues, bones, neurons working overtime for me, even if it’s uncomfortable. Find the root cause.
Which is so much easier said than done (AMIRIGHT).
I KNOW how important it is to do all these things but lately it has not been easy to just be still and breathe and be content in that.
Need to tell myself every day: I love this body because it’s my vehicle to my funnest, most fulfilling life. To be able, with energy, health, & immunity, so I can fill myself with primary foods because spoiler alert—
—that’s what keeps people alive to 100+ yrs! It’s really not their diet (does help tho). Many over 100 smoke every day! It’s what fulfills them on a soul level and their purpose that keeps them going.
Yes eat high quality food because you deserve that. But even more importantly put priority on quality primary foods FIRST.
