I’m really excited to be working on this gorgeous new build housing development designed by @studiorba.
These houses really are beautifully designed. It’s great to be involved in the early stages of a project rather than being roped in at the very end. Luckily this developer is switched on and sees the value of good quality design. Last week we were looking at furniture layouts, electrical and lighting positions as well as discussing the target market to ensure the homes are practical, functional and designed perfectly to accommodate the furniture layouts once built. So many times I’ve had a customer come to me wishing they had built their extension a metre longer as it didn’t fit any of the furniture they liked. The problem is many people try to save money by cutting corners but end up making major mistakes in the design and build stage which inevitably causes problems further down the line. If you are looking to hire an interior designer then getting one involved before first fix is essential, but at the planning stage is preferred. @makingspacesnet
latest blog perfectly explains the frustrations we have as interior designers, often being brought in at the very end of a project 😂

Ps. I’ve done two blogs in the space of three days which is unusual for me but I needed to catch up! Head over to my blog to see some exciting news and read all about the story behind the design of @tuskbaltic
