What can I offer life?
Everything life has given to me, I am a collage, a composite - a product of life's generosity or otherwise.
I offer everything that I am, everything that I have been made into.
I can't give more than I am, I wish I could.
I came whole into this space, full of life and hope, destined to help my world, but like an impatient bachelor trying to fry plantain, my world emptied me of me before I was done.
I am burdened by the weight of my world, the weight of my gender and the fear of tomorrow.
I am a shadow, a carcass, a caricature of who I am! But I must not let the world see what it has made me into, the world cannot see me broken they say.
I 'man' up and attempt to offer the world what I don't have
Like a guy on a date with a lady, I hold the world by hand scared that letting her roam wild would drill eternal holes in my pocket!
If I hold still, I see the demons taunt me, dare me even to let the world drill those holes and watch them climb through.
So when my lady asks what I can offer, I gaze intently into her soul and though I see the demons coming through, I smile and say 'Anything for you baby'
I am a man anyway! I fight demons for a living. I∆MOKO
