There is something about the fall that makes me fall in love with running all over again. From the beautiful foliage to the cooler temperatures, it is hard to run without a smile on my face. Today’s ten miler had me run to the shores of Lake Washington. I’m so lucky to live in such a beautiful city too! 🙏🏻
Lately, I have been feeling a bit ambivalent to training. Nothing really provoked it. It just sort of slowly happened. I have one more half (#10
!) in just a few short weeks, and then I am going to just let myself run for the sake of running for a bit. .
Have you ever felt burnt out from training? What did you do to overcome it?

Ok... so I’m a bit weird... l love infrastructure... and today I got to visit a subterranean CSO tank... which was sooo cool... (even though CSO stands for combined sewer overflow)... thanks SPU for a great tour... it didn’t even smell bad!!!! #seattlepublicutilities #magnusonpark
We have a new customer! 👏🏼 But I need a translator...do any of you speak Duck? 🦆 And is that what I think it is? YES! We have a new menu this week. Don’t worry...we kept Like a Mango in the Sky for all y’all. We’ll be at the Magnuson Park Pop-Up market tonight (Sept 13th) if you’re in the area. See ya soon! #sususeattle #ducks #seattlefood #magnusonpark
last week before school starts for me, enjoying the beautiful place I live. Hanging out with my friend from Chicago. Shareenie. Still so many places I haven’t been yet, like this. #magnusonpark
Night swims with my best friend Hunter! 🏊🏼♂️
Sunrise Beast walk by the lake. Spent a few hours at work on my day off. Large special order. When I saw the sun creeping up as I got home, decided to grab Tater and watch the sunrise from the park. Maybe I'll nap, or maybe I'll just crash really early. Good morning! #sunrise #lakewashington #magnusonpark #beastwalk
It’s up to you to see the beauty of everyday things ☀️⛅️🐶
Thursday, September 13 from 2 PM – 4 PM join GrIP (The Green Infrastructure Partnership) and project managers from SPU and Seattle Parks and Rec while they discuss and lead a walking tour of the Gray-Green Stormwater Infrastructure at Magnuson Park! These innovative projects are amazing!
Magnuson Park in northeast Seattle was a naval air base during World War II and has since undergone extensive renovations and restoration. One of the most important is cleverly disguised underground – stormwater detention and filtration using both “gray” and “green” infrastructure.
The Windermere Combined Sewer Tank is landscaped with native plants, and is designed to hold 2 million gallons of water during storm events. 10 acres of pavement were removed to make way for the park’s popular sports fields, which direct stormwater into a bioswale and a series of filtration chambers under an artificial wetland. Both help keep pollution from reaching Lake Washington.
Magnuson Park is located at 6310 NE 74th St, Seattle, WA 98115.

Lovely day for a walk in the park. As I get older, small pleasures hold the greatest weight. Me, my partner, my Tater, and my surroundings. It's pretty good. #magnusonpark #gratitude #lastdaysofsummer
