Switching things up a bit and doing a home post today. Our house has come a long way! We’ve almost completely redone the inside minus the bathrooms and the vaulted wood ceiling. But by far one of my favorite transformations was our kitchen! @rustoleum
Cabinet Transformation Kit, some new hardware, 3 days, 2-5 people and voila! But it all realness it was so much work and totally worth it!
Between new baby, moving, school ending, camping, family visiting, church ministries...I feel like it's been awhile since my head was above water for long.
While the sleepless nights continue, #jcottprincess2
is getting more independent during the day, allowing me to get things done without her in my arms.
Leaving each stage of babyhood is bittersweet. But this mom is happy to watch them grow.

Is it just me or when your kids are home you have more frequent visits to the grocery store 😩 But I’m enjoying being able to sleep in. If you look closely but not too close you’ll see where I had to repair the backs of my chairs (and a nerf gun bullet 🤦🏽♀️ boymom) Just need to paint them now but that’ll probably take me another two weeks lol. Happy baby Friday. A day closer to the weekend 🎊🤗🍹#diyhomedecor #farmhouseinspired #makingahouseourhome #oneprojectatatime
Our new place has a water closet; and it featured an almost entirely glass door. The previous owner’s solution was a curtain to pull across but mine is window film that looks like frost. I bought two rolls from @homedepot
and brought over a cutting mat, #xactoknife
and metal ruler. It took about an hour and a half to do all the panes. I could not be more pleased with the outcome; plenty of light but also privacy. #onadime #diylife #makingahouseourhome #simplechanges
Celebration time 🍾🎉 it’s finally done! All the little details make this a dream come to life. Our first renovation project in our new home, and it’s perfection.
Found this gem from 1973 at an antique store in Stillwater today! Thought it was only necessary for our kitchen considering we got married in part of the old Pillsbury factory ❤️ #makingahouseourhome
My son’s closet was in desperate need of storage and organization. 📚🚜⚽️🏈 When his shelf got pulled off the wall a couple of weeks ago I took it as a good time to redo the whole thing. Target had the shelves and bins on clearance yesterday so again...a sign to just do the thing. Here’s the before’s and after’s. 🙌🏻 I started putting it all in the closet and realized it would also be the perfect time to paint, so out it all came and that happened too! Yay for leftover paint and a fun Friday project! #DIYproject #makingahouseourhome
We’ve done a lot of things “backwards” as far as our kids milestones go lol. Example: Finley switched to a big boy bed when he was 18ish months, but our kids have always shared a room. I still very much believe that room sharing has been wonderful for our two. They have loved it and are truly best buds (I think, in part, because of it). However, with their sleeping patterns changing and the extra space in our new home, it has been easier to separate them some for naps/quiet time. We have an extra mattress we will keep in Stella’s floor so they can have sleepovers together whenever we allow it (😂), but here is Finley’s official new space. I did not chose the paint color but it will work for now. .
