Proud of this little lady. She made it not to cry since Friday. And this week is also a great start for her as Mama go to school as well everyday. .
She has been so cooperative and obedient with our instructions only that sometimes she can be grumpy when she is too tired. She is goes to bed 8 o' clock in the evening and she wakes up a happy baby in the morning at 6. .
What a darling she is excited to go to school and she kisses Mama and Papa happily! No more before school crying for Laia!

Blacky (foto 1) cuando me lo regalaron, tenía un mes y medio de nacido, prácticamente él me hizo experimentar lo que es ser madre por las noches. Me levantaba en las madrugadas con sus lloriqueos y tenía que levantarme a prepararle su leche, jugar con él, esperar que haga su popo y luego hacerlo dormir. Me tuvo así como 3 meses, pero me encantó. 💕
Wiffy es el renegon pero me protege como no tienen idea, sólo se deja cargar por mi y siempre mee recibe con su cola arriba. Es mi bebé mayor.

Who else has days when they are completely swamped under and overwhelmed with all that they need to do and think about?! I know I do!
For me there are days which are run by nappy changes, mental to do lists that keep getting added to, feeding, fighting to get the baby dressed, a few tears, bath time, washing clothes and washing bottles and then count down to my bed time where im ready to sleep with my eyes open if need be 🙈 It can all certainly get overwhelming at times!
In the midst of these nappy changes and chaos I never forget the wise words a good friend said to me during my pregnancy. She said ' Yes your life will change when you become a mother, but that doesn't mean you have to stop being yourself and lose yourself.' Admittedly it's hard not to lose yourself in the midst of so much change but I hold on to those words as they ring so much truth.
For me personally becoming a Mama has allowed me to find myself again. This precious little man makes me want to be the best I can be and I am so grateful to all that he is and that I get to be his mummy. However, that doesn't mean every day is easy.
As mummy's I think we put this pressure on ourselves. I know I do! That suddenly I should be this super human who doesn't get tired, annoyed or overwhelmed. That I must not get teary or cry and I must be on the ball at all times. Yet truth of the matter is that we all have good days and bad and it is okay to cry and let out your feelings. Chances are you will feel much better afterwards.
So be you and don't just try to power through! The best thing about motherhood is that it does not come with a manual! Do what is right for you not the text book 💜 You are wonderful 💜

About last night, we enjoyed playing Jenga but we are super happy and thrilled with Pictionary that Lucie got from Quick (McDonald's version of Belgium). We laughed super hard seeing our drawings looking hilarious. I was proud of me, making it everything in French. I thought I could not play Pictionary in French maid voila ça était fait! Gymming it on Boxing Day
Today I made it a priority to go to the gym and train which got me thinking! In previous years it would never have crossed my mind to train on boxing day, or for most of the festive period so why this year? What was my motivation?
Let’s be real about this! I didn’t wake up this morning and think ‘Oh my goodness, I had too much Christmas dinner! I feel so guilty and I must go to the gym!’ No, I woke up feeling happy and content. Partly because of an amazing Christmas dinner, but mainly because of all the wonderful memories made for my Baba’s first Christmas.
My main motivation to exercise today and most days is the positive impact it has on my Mental health. I am not afraid to speak out and say that there are days when I struggle. There are days when I get stressed, overwhelmed, overtired and my thoughts race over and over with a million tabs open in my brain. Life is a mixed bag and with the highs come the lows. For years medics have told me about the benefits of exercise for Mental health. How it can help you relax, de stress and produce positive hormones to name a few. Let’s be fair though, training isan’t an easy thing to be motivated to do or commit too for a long period of time. Especially on the days that you struggle.
For me the moment I realised just how much of an impact exercise can have on my Mental health I found my motivation to train. Exercise makes me feel good, helps be relax, makes me more determined to try new things, helps calm my mind and helps me sleep. Yes, It would have been great if I realised this ten years ago but I am learning that it is never too late.
What ever you are doing this festive period be sure to take time to relax and take it easy and take time out for yourself. Yes ‘tis the season to be jolly’ but its also important to take care of yourself and listen to your body, today and every day.

I had the same expression when I was asked to eat during my pregnancy. I had severe morning sickness and nausea in my first and third trimester😖😵 I gave a hard time to my mum in law and rejected almost everything that was cooked at home. She then came up with very simple yet delicious recipes which I finally relished😋 Sharing one of my favourite rice recipes. .
(You can just call it simple Pulav)
• 1 cup basmati rice (washed, soaked for half an hour)
• 2 tbsps ghee
• whole spices (4 cloves, 6 black pepper, 2 bay leaves, 1 small cinnamon stick)
• 2 onions, thinly sliced
• 1\2 tsp ginger paste
• 1 potato sliced
• 1 1\2 tsp saunf (fennel seed)
• salt to taste
Method: Take a pressure cooker. Put ghee. Add the whole spices and let them crackle. Add thinly sliced onions and golden brown them. Add ginger paste, potatoes, saunf and salt. Cook for 2 mins and add 4 cups water to it. Close the lid and cook for about 10 mins. Do not put the whistle. After 10 mins, switch off the gas and let it rest for 5 mins before you open and serve.
Tips- Use ghee only, not oil for better taste.
No use of whistle, rice cooks much better with this technique . And fennel is the star of this recipe. So adjust it accordingly. Add more or less as your preference.
