Made with potatoes, chicken, carrots, onions, and lots of spices... this dish is almost like an American pot roast. Japanese curry is a staple in Japan and is actually sweet tasting! It is a dish that truly warms up you soul on a cold winters day. I definitely think this is a dish that my grandma would have been proud of me for making if she was still with me. You should definitely give it a shot if you are trying out Japanese Cuisine. 🍛

They are sponge cake dipped in melted chocolate and grated coconuts. My kids love coconuts. The cake we made is spongy and just right (not too soft and not too hard). I often prefer to give Strawberry Shortcake hot, cooked food for her meals, but there are days when that’s not possible. Today we had back to back appointments. Here are two quick toddler lunch ideas to save for those busy days! . For sandwiches, I usually use leftover cooked meat rather than cold cuts, but once in awhile she’ll have it. Friends have asked how I have time to prepare it. An easy tip is when you have leftover meat, slice it that evening or shred with fingers and place into an airtight glass container to keep it fresh and easily accessible. (If you want to know why you shouldn’t use plastic containers, have a stroll through my blog.) . Pizzas, this one was bought as little one insisted on it. I have never bought them before, but the secret carrot purée in them reduced my guilt by 10%.🤣 . We have made pizzas several times at home though. You can buy a base or a healthier alternative like seeded granary wraps or thick bread. Purée some veggies to add to the sauce, add some cheese and even add some of that meat from instructions above! Enjoy! . BTW she eats well, but one thing she doesn’t like is lettuce. GINGERBREAD SPICED APPLE CRISP. This made me so happy today 😍 It was so easy to make and it was just the thing I needed from a loonnggg drawn out day with two littles. A couple of days ago I had this Gingerbread Oatmeal from @wholefoods and I thought, this would probably taste delicious as a topping on an apple crisp. Well YES I was right! I actually thing it tastes better than the traditional rolled oats topping. First I cut up some Golden Delicious apples and layered then on the bottom of a baking dish. Added some zest and juice from an Orange and Lemon. For the crispy topping I added butter, brown sugar, dried cranberries, walnuts, sea salt and chia seeds for extra texture. I mixed it all together in a bowl and put it on top of the apples and baked for 45 Mins covered then 15 minutes uncovered. It was hot, it was bubbly, it gave the whole house a heavenly aroma. The topping got crispy and crunchy and the apples got soft and sweet. I think I had 3 helpings and I’m not ashamed at all! ورق العنب سوري - Stuffed vine leaves Syrian way ——- المكونات: ورق عنب مجمد - 1\4 لحم غنم مفروم ناعم كوب ارز طماطم1 ملح فلفل بابريكا كمون ملح ليمون كيلو لحم غنم (قطع طريه)3\4 بصله كبيره فلفل اخضر ورق لوره 6 ثوم ملح فلفل ——- طريقه التحضير يحمر لحم الضاني بقليل من السمن و يقلي على كل جانب, بعد التحمير يضاف البصل و الفلفل وورق اللوره و الملح والفلف ثم يضاف له ماء مغلي للسلق. توطى درجه حراره النار ويترك ساعه لحين النضج تحضر حشوه ورق العنب يوضع في اناء الاتي: الارز المغسول و اللحم المفروم والطماطم المفروم و الملح و الفلفل و البابريكا و الكمون و ملح الليمون نقوم بلف ورق العنب مع مراعاه وضع القليل من الحشو في داخل الورق في قعر القدر نقوم بوضع شرائح الثوم ثم نقوب بصف اللحم المسلوق ثم صف ورق العنب الملفوف ثم مرقه اللحم ثم ملح وفلفل و ملح الليمون او الليمون تغلى المكونات ثم تخفف درجه الحراره ويغطى القدر وتترك 40 -45 دقيقه على نار هادئه وتقدم ساخنه ——- Ingredients: For the filling: 250 grams Frozen vine leaves 500 grams Minced lamb meat 1 cup rice 1 diced tomato 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp lemon salt --- 700 grams lamb meat big onion cut into four green bell pepper Bay leaves salt pepper 6 garlic cloves --- Method: In a large bowl, combine all filling ingredients except vine leaves, then fold and roll vine leaves. In a large pot, put little ghee and then cook the meat pieces on both sides over a medium heat, then add onions, bell pepper, bay leaves, salt and pepper. Pour boiled water over the meat into the pot. Cover and simmer for an hour on low heat. Now in another large pot, put the garlic slices, then layer all the meat in one layer, then layer the stuffed vine leaves over the meat then pour the meat broth inside the pot until the broth covers all the stuffed vine leaves. Add salt, pepper and lemon salt or lemon. After the broth boils, cover the pot and put on low heat for 40-45 minutes. Should be served hot.

Anyone else struggling with the in-between-big-holiday-meals-and-parties meal planning? 🙋🏻‍♀️ it’s hard to get good, healthy meals on the table when bigger meal plans and events are on the horizon. I’ve been keeping it simple and I think it’s benefitted my whole family in terms of getting good food in our bellies between holiday indulgences. Last night: DIY baked potatoes (fun for kiddos to do themselves and a great way to use up extra produce) and a big ol’ salad on the side. We loaded these babies up with onions, peppers, shredded chicken, and some Greek yogurt. 👍👌🍴 #martincafemeals
الخضار المشوي في الفرن - Roasted Vegetables المكونات: بروكولي كبيرة مقطعة إلى قطع كبيرة - فلفل احمر مقطع - كوسه مقطعه - مشروم - ذره صغيره - جزر صغير الصوص: خل بلسميك - زيت زيتون - ملح - فلفل - بابريكا - بودره الثوم - اوريجانو - زعتر و روز ماري يُحمّى الفرن إلى درجة 180 مئوية و يوضع الخضار المقطع في وعاء كبير.و يحضر الصوص في وعاء صغير ويضاف الى الخضار. توزّع قطع الخضار في طبقة واحدة على صينية خبز كبيرة أو صينية تحميص. وتوضع في الفرن لمدة 35 دقيقة. ———- Ingredients: Broccoli, red bell pepper, zucchini, mushroom, baby corn, baby carrots. Sauce: Balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper Preheat oven to 200 degrees C In a large bowl, combine the broccoli, red bell peppers, zucchini, mushroom, baby corn, baby carrots In a small bowl, stir together sauce ingredients. Toss with vegetables then spread evenly on a large roasting pan. Roast for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring every 10 minutes, or until vegetables are cooked through and browned.

Arroz con Pollo. I have made this just a handful of times. And while the flavor was always delicious, the texture would be just a bit too wet. (I am very critical of the texture of foods as much as the taste). Upon cooking this time, I remembered that I wanted to use less water than before, with 2 cups rice and 3 cups water instead of 4 because of the tomato sauce, and juices from the meat that is already there. براوني البنجر - beetroot brownies —————- المكونات: ٨٠ جم دقيق ١٢٥ جم شوكولاتة مذابة (يفضل شوكولاتة غامقة) ١٢٥ جم بنجر مطبوخ بيوريه ١٢٥ جم سكر بني ٥٠ جم زبدة سائحة 2 بيضة صغيرة ١ ملعقة كبيرة كاكاو خام ١/٢ ملعقة بيكينج باودر ١/٢ ملعقة فانيليا رشة ملح ٧٠ جم جوز (اخيتاري) —————- طريقة التحضير: بالخفاقة اليدوية خفق الشوكولاتة مع الزبدة في اناء واحد ثم اضافة و خفق باقي المكونات واحد تلو الاخر. يوضع الخليط في صينية براوني على ورق زبدة ثم يوضع في الفرن ٣٠-٣٥ دقيقة على درجة حرارة ٢٠٠ —————-—————- Ingredients: 80 gm flour 125 gm melted chocolate (preferably dark) 125 gm cooked beetroot purée 125 gm brown sugar 50 gm melted butter 2 small eggs 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp vanilla Pinch of salt 70 gm crushed walnuts (optional) —————- Method: With hand mixer, beat melted chocolate and butter then add and mix rest of the ingredients. Spread batter into a prepared pan with parchment paper. Put in oven for 30-35 minutes at 200 degrees.

شوربه البروكولي - Broccoli Soup —————— المكونات: 2 ملعقه كبيره زيت زيتون 1 بصله متوسطه الحجم مفرومه 1 فص ثوم مهروس 2 اعواد كرافس كوبين مرقه دجاج كوبين حليب كامل الدسم 1/8 كوب كريمه طبخ 1زهره بروكولي كبيره ملح و فلفل —————— طريقه التحضير: في قدر نضع زيت زيتون والبصل والثوم والكرافس ونقلبهم الى ان يصبح البصل لينا. ثم نقوم باضافه زهره البروكولي ثم مرق الدجاج ثم ونتركه 20 دقيقه على نار هادئه الى ان ينضج البروكولي. ثم نضيف الحليب و الكريمه والملح والفلفل ونقدمها —————— Ingredients: 2 tbsp olive oil 1 medium sized chopped onions 1 clove of garlic 2 stalk of chopped celery 2 cups of chicken broth 2 cups of full fat milk 1/8 cup cooking cream 1 large head of broccoli salt and pepper to taste —————— Method: In a large sauce pan sauté onion, garlic & celery with the olive oil, then add brocoli florets, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, let simmer for 20 minutes until brocolis are tender. Mix the soup with a hand blender to puree the mixture, then add the milk, salt and pepper.

An easy and delicious chicken stir fry. Soo tasty!! ___ Recipe: *Cut chicken into strips, I used thighs, and season with a bit of salt and white pepper. *Chops veggies. I used carrots, broccoli and asparagus. *Sauce is combination of coconut aminos, honey, minced fresh garlic and ginger, water and a bit of cornstarch. *Fry the chicken and keep aside. Dziś piekliśmy pierwsza partię naszych pierniczków, oczywiście w zdrowej wersji. Inspiracją były fit pierniczki od @fit_przepisy_od_baletnicy W mojej wersji jest około 250 g mąki gryczanej i 70 g mąki z ciecierzycy, zamiast kakao dałam karob. Pierniczki są pyszne, choć nie tak słodkie jak tradycyjne, ale nam akurat takie smakują. Although I make a variety of things in my Instant Pot, I had continued to use my Euro Cuisine yogurt maker. Yesterday, I finally decided to give the IP a go. I used the cold start method which was also new to me and then strained the whey to get a Greek style texture. I’m pleased with how creamy it turned out. Spent, what felt like, all morning on Pinterest looking for inspiration. Today's attempt was a mushroom, kale, red onion and cheese tart on puff pastry. This was made in the hope of only having to cook once for both us and baby Ethan. Cut the small one into fingers for the little one and we had the large version with spicy beans. Lessons learnt: baby needs smaller chunks of mushroom & pastry is a little dry! Quick lunch after a play date - spinach and sweetcorn bites, red pepper, chicken & cucumber. My little one just can't get enough of these spinach and sweetcorn bites. One bag of baby spinach One tin of sweetcorn One egg yolk I blended up the mixture. I used half as a paste cooked on the hob with some sunflower oil to use as a dip.
