🙌🏼 Nate was feeling passionate and fiery during a conversation this morning, so I told him to switch his podcast on and record it! This mornings podcast was all about the reporting system for primary and high school education in Australia, and how students unfortunately are not being rewarded for their efforts. A wonderful thing to do for your business is to think of multiple avenues of reaching your target market. As we know, every individual is different, and therefore prefer different platforms of communication 🌏 Some like watching YouTube videos, some listen to podcasts, some read blogs! Try multiple ways of communicating and see how your audience responds 💫

What makes good content?
It takes them on a journey.
Connection, readability, story all come together in leading this person that matters, to something.
The content piece itself is a journey from beginning to end. A solution, say. Or maybe entertainment. With that bit of transformation. That’s the journey.
But every piece of content is also part of a bigger journey. Think about it like the way a relationship grows … because that’s exactly what’s going on.
Your content is supposed to foster the growth of a relationship. From first discovering your small business brand, or your not-for-profit cause, through regular engagement and growing familiarity, to making a commitment, taking action and advocating for others to do the same.
tip in knowing what content to produce is to know the journey you want to take them on.
So, no more content for content’s sake - it’s all part of a journey.

Your followers are not your leads.⠀
Think about all the people or accounts you follow in instagram, are they all the ones you would buy from? Probably not. Who are those that you will buy from?⠀
Most likely someone you have followed for a while, someone you like, or a brand you have purchased from before. They are the accounts you probably see in your feed most often because you interact with them the most. You might even be on some of their newsletters.⠀
The best way to turn followers into your leads is to get them on your mailing list or some sort of subscription service, it could be your email list or facebook messenger subscription list (I wish IG has one..).⠀
Why? when they are on your list, it means they want to hear from you (given that you give them the option to unsubscribe!). It's like having a friend right? if they want to hear from you, they value what you say and your relationship with them. People are also more likely to listen to someone they know (a friend), than someone random on social media.⠀
Social media is very fast pace, not all your followers can see your post and you can't make sure they recieve it. While for emails, they can choose not to open it if they don't want to hear from you, but you can be sure that they have recieved your mail.⠀
When you have a person's contact details, you can continue to market to them for free, and in bulk. You also don't need to worry about "bothering" someone, because if they don't want to hear from you, they unsubscribe. You won't and shouldn't notice because you want to focus on the people who want to hear from you.⠀
Who has a mailing list that is actively generating leads? Who has one but isn't generating leads? Who wants to start one but not sure how and what to do?⠀

I've always been intrigued by why humans make the decisions that they do.
Over the next year I plan to deep dive into the subject even more, not just for the sake of making money or more sales, but for the sake of understanding people.
You have to know your target market to be able to create a successful marketing campaign. You have to think like they would and create something appealing to that market. Figuring out the subconscious and conscious goals and motivations of your niche will allow you to bring in more valuable and consistent customers.
We think this is an important question for all #business
owners or managers in 2019! So ask yourself, "how would I rate my own customer or patient experience?" 🤔

We want to investigate what are the things you see that are holding back you and your business from achieving success online, on social media, with your career, at school, or with your business in general.
For us and our team a big weakness last year was content. For most of the year, we were so wrapped up in our clients that there was never enough time actually share our story. After a long swim upstream and self-reflection we decided this had to change immediately. You've likely already noticed things are starting to improve. Which is probably why you're reading this now.
