This homemade sweet potato casserole is loaded with marshmallows, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and one secret ingredient.
I think the amazing flavor all comes down to that one secret ingredient my Mom always adds. It comes in a can and is extra creamy. Any guesses what it is?

to create the most aromatic pumpkin pie on record. Orange zest and rum give this pie a little twist on the classic but it’s still an uncomplicated one-bowl recipe. As Ina would say, “How easy is that?”
Creating a festive salad might be one of my favorite contributions to our Thanksgiving table and I have to say, I am in love with the moody vibe of this offering. Roasted delicata squash (a family favorite) dances with crisp, sweet apples, tart pomegranate and earthy pumpkin seeds. A simple orange maple vinaigrette lusciously coats the bed of dark greens which include kale, spinach and arugula. I have to say, I’m kinda crushin’ - she’s sultry, isn’t she? 😍
My infatuation aside, many people don’t like kale. Don’t let that stop you from enjoying this beauty. Just swap your greens (if you must), here’s how. 🥬
Start with a mild lettuce like spring mix or even romaine and add a little kale to it. You won't even taste it.
Massage your kale. Kale can be tough, especially lacinato which has a slender, bumpy leaf. Give it a quick massage when you add the salad dressing. This helps to break down the fibers so it's less tough when you eat it.
Spinach is a great gateway to the darker greens. It's more mild in flavor and lacking in bitterness.
Arugula is a touch peppery but not nearly as bitter as kale. Try them first then maybe add a touch of kale!
Be sure to get your Thanksgiving order in by tomorrow, 5pm.
