Friends, the walloping of winter has begun!
The farm and everything moving or not is at the mercy of the soft snow. Being in this environment forces you to realize that you have little to zero control and these life experiences leave an indelible mark on the soul. • In these times of technological innovation and need for fast paced electronic communication, we often take nature for granted or sadly even consider it a hindrance to our human endeavors.
Theses days there is an incredible human need for rediscovering a sense of wonder, wilderness and the value of life’s deepest lessons. • Life has a planned series of unexpected events and those unplanned experiences put you on an unlikely path that is actually leading the way. • What’s your reason this season? Comment below, I would love to know!
One thing that I took from yesterday's auditions was, there are so many amazing and talented people from all over the globe. It was a pleasure to meet you all. And I thank you for sharing your gifted talent of acting with me.
I get it. Big Hollywood names seem to get roles quicker than someone who works a nine to five job, or who works multiple jobs in a day. Kids who go to a school that doesn't have drama class, but have to seek out other places to advance their talent. Only to be tossed to the side because they aren't pretty enough, have a disfigurement, race, etc. If you give them a chance, they will shine.
That's what I saw yesterday.
I had the chance to bring in Hollywood names into my film, but it's not what I wanted. My goal for my company, Serina Film Productions, is to work with those that deserve a chance, that try hard, and work hard, but at the same time have a passion for film. There is so much talent and passion out there that is overlooked, and I will use it to my advantage to prove these kids and adults are worthy.
I am willing to teach, to be patient, give advice, and guide any gifted soul that walks my path.
Nothing comes easy. Nothing comes overnight and you may not be where you want to be for weeks, months, and even years. But eventually you will be where you want to be if you don’t give up, and you will smile at yourself for waiting it out through some seriously hard and unsatisfying times.
On another note, please help me congratulate KFX Bodyart Kristen Adams, she is our lead in the makeup department and makeup artist on the set of Poor Innocence. And a thank you to her boyfriend for all the help to make her job easier.
Thank you to Brian, Chris, Rebecca, Bill, Paula, Zeinab, Ali, and anyone else that has helped make this happen.
