I didn't get to sleep in either day this weekend. I was up at 5am both days so I could go out and catch the sunrise. Saturday didn't have a lot of drama since there wasn't much for clouds, but Sunday paid off in spades. Check it out for yourself.
The Longtaitou Festival (simplified Chinese: 龙抬头; traditional Chinese: 龍抬頭; pinyin: Lóng Táitóu), also known as the Eryue'er Festival（二月二）, is a traditional Chinese festival held on the second day of the second month of the Chinese calendar. In the tradition of Chinese culture, the dragon is believed to be the king of all creatures and the ancestor of human beings. It is also believed to be in charge of bringing rains, and both of these are important factors in ancient agricultural society. On this very, the mikyway rise above the King of all mountains in Sichuan, just like dragon raise his head.
As a 'newer' photographer, I feel that my greatest challenge isn't necessarily choosing the right composition, but bringing out in post-edits the way I'm seeing it. While I don't have an immediate wish to become a professional photographer, I do want to bring up the quality of my final image. I know I have a long way to go as a lot of it is just a matter of mastering Photoshop (I'm currently just using Lightroom). All we can do is keep working on our craft, whatever it may be, right? Here's to the weekend on working on things that aren't work!
