So I have two weeks holidays coming up soon, next week is one more week and then two weeks of blissful, awesome coding, content creating, working on my A.I models and build, build, build.
Somewhere in there I’ll take some time out to smell the roses but its a rare opportunity to be able to devote the whole day (and nights) to my side project.
Most people like to take holidays to some place nice, me? I like to burry myself in my code.
Also my brain seems more active at night, I don’t know why, so I’ll be able to stay up later in the nights to work on it too.
My hope is I will be able to blitz through all my objectives with this A.I stuff and have more stuff to show you guys.
Actual functioning A.I examples.
Which leads me to my next observation. I see a lot of you guys with your own side projects you start outside of work hours, how do you balance it?
I think about that scene from Iron Man 1 where Tony is stuck in a cave dreading what he thinks is the inevitable, that as soon as he builds what his captors want in that cave they’re going to come for him, his fellow captor.
And his fellow captor says in reply “Well then this is a very important week for you then”
In other words, what you do in that given time frame matters, so you better get moving on your plans and hustle.
And that is so true in life, if you treat life like you have all the time in the world, pretty soon that time you thought you had is going to run past you pretty quickly if you let it.
I need to get in that mind frame.
Be committed to the project.
And build, build, build.
Stuff isn’t necessarily hard per say, it just requires expended effort.
So with that in mind, even though I have holidays coming up to use, now is the time.
How do you manage your personal projects and goals outside of work?
