Managed a 10kg improvement over last week which I'll take all day. My thumbs haven't gotten quite used to deadlifting again yet so I have some work to go there. A little better every day. #work
Bench has been the most surprising and consistent lift for me. Added another 7.5kg on bench with more in the tank. Finally hit 3 red plates 😌.
Third attempt 175kg/385lbs.

First attempt 162.5kg/358lbs.
Very pleased with squats today. 7.5kg/17lbs PR for my third attempt. Had a grind of peace and the kabuki squat bar is not great that’s for sure. .

Super duper boring but necessary low percentage work in both lifts today working on some technical issues I have. Can you tell what I was working on? I realized after watching myself back on the live stream compared to my competitors my lifts are a hot mess 😂

💯. I speak this to my clients all of the time when asked about stretching. The answer is that it depends WHY.
Here are some quick things to consider
Are you stretching because your muscles feel “tight?” While some stretching may help you feel better, it’s important to realize that sometimes tight muscles are actually WEAK muscles that need to be strengthened. So rather than stretching that tight hamstring, try incorporating some leg curls and RDLs.
Another possible reason would be stretching so you could get into a position such as a squat. In most cases and assuming you’re not injured, your body just might not be neurologically accustomed to being in that position. So rather than stretching, try using weight to help you into the position such as doing a kettlebell goblet squat driving your elbows into your knees.
What are the reasons that you guys stretch?
Deadlifting warriors... I need your help. I went for my top set of 535/5 and felt my back start to let go on the fifth rep. I find myself hesitant to pull with confidence because I’m always afraid of hurting my back and I think my legs are stronger than my back and they seem to be straight and locked before my hips are through causing huge stress on my back.
