When I want to make some quick, easy and healthy I make wholemeal spaghetti basil pesto. It takes about 15 minutes and packed full of good stuff! To make the pesto I blend together 🌱 handful of fresh basil (like a standard 60g bag, doesn't have to be too specific) 🌱 juice of a whole lemon 🌱 half cup of sunflower seeds 🌱1 and a half tablespoon olive oil (2 is fine) 🌱 3 clove of garlic 🌱 salt & pepper You can just use a basic blender like nutribullet etc. I add the paste to mushroom, asparagus and cooked wholemeal pasta and add a bit of water to shake the blender and get the rest of the pesto out. I add frozen peas and a bit more salt and pepper to taste 5 minutes before serving. Really easy, healthy and filling 😊

This post definitely made me chuckle, and brought about one of the same thoughts I have most days. The thought is, is that just like this comment, when people say "I love animals but..." I already know that's not true. You may love SOME animals but there are billions of animals every year under the same bracket as your cats, dogs, hamsters etc that die because of you every year and your choice to consume animal products, even vegetarians. So next time you are about to say "I love animals" and you're not vegan, just think about those other animals that aren't really feeling that love coming their way, only for their flesh on a plate.
