La resiliencia se refiere a la capacidad de afrontar una situación adversa y salir fortalecido de ella. Pese a que todo el mundo piense que la vida del deportista es sencilla, la verdad es que los deportistas tienen que lidiar con aspectos no tan atractivos como el estrés competitivo, lesiones, vivir fuera de casa a una edad temprana, críticas, etc. Aumentar la resiliencia es un factor a considerar dentro de la mejora del rendimiento. Otorgar al deportista de estrategias para gestionar sus pensamientos y no verse superado por sus vivencias. Con Ibon no fue necesario este trabajo, perdió su último combate pero al día siguiente ya estaba dispuesto a trabajar con una actitud positiva y determinación que le volverán a llevar al éxito seguro. Valoramos sus puntos débiles y comenzamos a trabajar sobretodo en su estabilidad de cadera y su transferencia de fuerza. El siguiente paso será mejorar su disociación tórax—cadera.
