Another reason why you can put exercise a bad diet 👉🏼 You won’t be able to hit your peak if you’re overdoing it with the wrong foods
To effectively change your physique and stay toned requires intense exercise. You won’t have the physical endurance to push through tough workouts if your diet isn’t up to snuff. Yes, that unfortunately means that while Reese’s Pieces and soda may give you a sugar high that you mistake as energy, they won’t fuel you to PR on the bench or around the track. Also, if you’re consuming high-fat foods in the evening, they could be disrupting your sleep, according to Brazilian researchers — which will leave you too tired to go all out at the gym
You’ll need a combination of carbohydrates and protein to recover following a workout, as well as adequate carbs beforehand, too. “They’re the preferred energy for the exercisers’ muscles and mind,” says Jennifer McDaniel, R.D.N., founder of McDaniel Nutrition Therapy in St. Louis and spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Watch out for taking in too much fat; that often translates to an abundance of calories as well, which quickly packs on as extra pounds. Another diet pitfall to avoid when training is extremely high amounts of carbs or fiber. “These could cause annoying digestive issues and prevent you from performing well,” says McDaniel. In general, aim to get about 30% of your diet from protein, 40% from carbs and 30% from fat.

Taking some extra time to meditate this morning. It’s been a busy few days with the kids heading back to school. My middle child started middle school today, my youngest started Pre-K on Monday and my oldest will start her last year in middle school tomorrow. It’s been rough on this mama! It’s hard to watch them grow up so fast, but we are so blessed they are healthy and happy. Thinking of all of the other parents out there sending their babies back to school! ✨
Learn to LISTEN and life will change dramatically, I promise! Happy National Relaxation Day! Do something to take care of yourself today! AND DON’T FEEL BAD ABOUT IT! 💗☀️
Thank you @bloomenergytherapy
for another amazing healing session. You never disappoint. One of my favourite things about Claudia’s sessions is she pulls fairy cards at the end! I have been into Fairy cards for year they have helped me navigate and understand what’s going on in my life past, present and future!! They bring so much joy and excitement and it’s such a great end to an energy session! Getting energy work done helps me reset and restore myself. Id love to hear what you like to do as a spiritual practice to reset and restore❌⭕️❌⭕️
Currently reading ( again) War of Art by Steven Pressfield. I’m on my 3rd round of reading it and every time the message becomes more and more clear. It’s translating so beautifully to the way I see the world, the way I love, the way I parent. It has giving me a push to dream, to tap into my own curiosity and allow myself to dream, to push, to be wild and keep learning all that I can in this lifetime. What a beautiful journey this life is ❤️❤️The greatest lie man has been told is that magic isn’t real. When you awake from the state of suffering , magic is all that there is ❤️🔆

From a Buddhist perspective, Macbeth is consumed by greed and attachment to power as is Lady Macbeth. He is unafraid to kill sentient beings. Ultimately #karma
kicks in and he meets an ignominious end. 😥
The Rose Theatre is a pop up showing Shakespeare this summer in Britain's favourite city, York, beside the castle where in 1190, 150 Jews took their own lives during a period of ethnic tension. The first image shows a solitary figure beside York castle at sunset, symbolic of Macbeth's lonileness, self-induced suffering and impending death. Macbeth is by Olivier winning artistic director @damian.cruden
, who also directed the Railway Children at York before it toured around the UK.
I've been looking into Yoga Teacher Training this week, after a lot of deliberating I have found the course that I want to do 🙊so excited! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Standing backbend - I love doing those but only after a good warm up! Sorry for cropping my arms out of the frame at the beginning but I couldn't make the video fit
After an amazing holiday in Greece, seeing my two best friends getting married, sitting in the sun for ten days, drinking way too much gin, and only really finding time to do a quick easy flow here or there I thought I would come back feeling weaker, and was really convinced that I would of lost some of the progress I've made in the last few months... but when I stepped back on my mat yesterday I actually felt so much stronger! My body had an amazing rest and is ready to get back into action. Can't believe I even managed to touch my head with my toe in this forearm balance 🙊🙈 this has never happened before! Rest is an important part of progress.
Back at it 🤸🏼♀️ feels good to be in my little living room again 😌
