Thank you for sharing your experience with us. 💕
We love that you've enjoyed our food & our service that night! 🌸
As our guest is our priority and we only want them to experience the best here in Vanuatu 💪❤ "Yesterday my husband and I went to Casa Mia for dinner. Our second visit to this great restaurant. We had the anti pasto platter for two as a starter. It was beautiful presented, with lots of different tastes, accompanied by tasty cheese bread sticks. When we saw the dessert platter delivered to the table next to us, we decided to have that too. It was amazing, so many different sweets: ice cream, cakes etc. Very colorful and a treat to the taste buds. This could be coming from a Michelin star restaurant. A lovely bottle of red wine did go down very well. To finish it of we had a great coffee. After paying the reasonable bill, we were give two little bags with lollies. The waitress was very friendly and professional! A big smile all around! The Japanese chef came out and shook hands and asked how our meals were. Only one word to say: superb!! we will be back and we recommend everybody to experience this wonderful asset in Port Vila. It really is a MUST! -Paulien V" .
Our ancestors were farmers and great navigators. They planted seeds/crops at any land they landed on and navigated almost 25million square kilometres of ocean with their famous double hulled canoes. Whilst most of Europe believed that the ocean is home to enormous/dangerous/deadly creatures, our ancestors were navigating ⛵️ it like a playing field. This is OuR story, this is YOUR story, this is MY story ❤️🙌 This story was never taught at my school; is it because systems are worried about how courageous we are? Or how fierce we can be? Share your story! Be loud, Be Proud, Be You 🤝👏🏻#story#pacific#polynesian#melanesian#micronesian#pacific#navigators#farmers#love#future#passion#projectconchshell
A girl on her afternoon run to collect sweet potatoes, bananas, cassava, coconuts & other local staples from her garden. The men on the other hand often spear fish to supplement their diet. A simple & satisfying way of life with none of the hustle & bustle of the big smoke. 🏝🏖.
* All Hawaiian traditional Culture was banned it was made illegal and also the Hula dance was also banned by the Europeans well not all Europeans but by they were banned by the Churches they said that the traditions of the Hawaiian Culture like the Hawaiian traditional dance of Hula they said that it was a ritualistic or a pagan dance and that's why they've banned it they thought it was not Christian to them but it's a very sacred dance and a celebration of life and btw ALL of the Kings and Queen, Princess, Princes their ancestry goes way back their bloodlines traces their ancestry back to the Kuhuna people Original Pacific Islanders who referred to themselves as Kanaka Moali it's a term the Native Hawaiians called themselves and all of the Hawaiian royalty family they have Cheifs and Cheiftess (sorry I don't know if that's the right word) which is the female version of a chief in their ancestry and also The other Hawaiian King Kamehameha IV he was the 4th Hawaiian King and I've posted about him and his his mother's name was Kalani Ahumanu i Kaliko o Iwi Kauhipua o Kīnaʻu and her European name was Elizabeth she was a Kuhina Nui which translates to a Kahuna expert or someone who has power of the lands or a governor and well at the time of his reign he restored the Hawaiian Culture and the Hula dance he said “Hula is the language of the heart, therefore the heartbeat of the Hawaiian people.” And that day he restored the Hawaiian Culture and made it legal for the Hawaiians to practice their Culture and to dance their traditional Hula dance and to keep their Culture alive til this day.. 💛👏🌴🏵️🌺🌸 (i know I haven't posted the origins yet, but this needs to be shared the History of Hawaii and the last King of the kingdom of Hawaii who stood up for his Hawaiian people to restore their Hawaiian Culture now that is amazing!) #pacificislander#melanesian#micronesian#polynesian#hawaii#history#culture
Beautiful Pacific Islander Hawaiian Culture 💛👏🌴🌺🌸🏵️ (notice the Hawaiian woman she doesn't refer to her people as Polynesians and she refers to herself as a Hawaiian she is a Pacific Islander a descendant of the Native Hawaiians the Kahuna people who called themselves Kanaka Moali also what she is speaking is 💯 they have kept their traditions til this day, (I know this is not apart of the topic but I've heard some people were going to Hawaii to "teach" the Hawaiians about the Polynesian "Culture" *coughs* stolen Culture), but I'll post the origins of Hula another time whenever I can💛💛 but next I'll post about how the Hula dance and Hawaiian Culture was restored by the last King of Hawaii in my next post... 💛👏💯 #pacificislander#melanesian#micronesian#polynesian#culture#hawaiian#hula#tradition#dance#practice
