Extraordinary landscapes in Death Valley today. Sadly one day was not enough to experience this amazing national park.
Scouting locations for tomorrow’s shoot!
Kick off national park week with a shot from the most recent trip, well besides Shenandoah.. but I need to edit those yet.
Death Valley is among the list of my favorite national parks that i have had the honor of visiting, because of its ever changing landscapes. You see pictures of each unique landscape there and hope for weather conditions like that, to give off a certain feeling. You hope for that perfect light as well. Unfortunately this place will spin you in circles with its given climate. It was the polar opposite that weather read, and I appreciate it for those very reasons. It's a proven challenge to get those conditions, and the texture on the ground you see can be the opposite of what you expect. The landscape makes you work harder on your end. I like that.

As the lowest elevation point in N. America, (Badwater Basin, not pictured) Death Valley's allure is metaphoric in a way. There goes my shadow as I "walk through the valley of the shadow of death." 🌄🏜 || 11.08.2015 🔙
