Here we are at #5weeksout
from my first show of the season. Hoooooly crap! I can’t believe it. Both because time flies and because I still barely feel like I’m in prep! Macros haven’t changed in six weeks, cardio has only increased a tad during that time, and other than my big lifts (squat, deadlift) my strength has continued to increase all 17 weeks of this prep. I’ve never held onto this much size in my upper body during a prep, and while my legs and back side definitely need to tighten up quite a bit still, this week I can see them coming through (these pictures also don’t do them justice because of lighting). Of course I’m terrified I won’t be ready in five weeks. But I also know how much your body can change in a month, especially when you have a wizard like @paulrevelia
leading the ship. Overall I’m just grateful! Grateful I have such a fantastic coach and supportive team. Grateful my body is cooperating so well. Grateful for my amazing fiancé, parents, and friends who support and cheer for me. And grateful I have the body and mind that allows me to train, compete, and find so much joy and empowerment through this crazy sport we call bodybuilding. Happy Sunday friends!
