Even on #Sunday . Because #allergies , #inflammation , #restlesslegs , issues affecting #sleep , #bathroomregularity , and #vitamin deficiencies don't take a #restday ! Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic; sauté until onions soften, about 10 minutes. Mix in chili powder, oregano, cumin, and cayenne; stir 2 minutes. Mix in beans, 1/2 cup reserved bean liquid, and tomato sauce. Bring chili to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until flavors blend and chili thickens, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes. But what does research tell us? 👀 Well…it turns out very little! A review published in the Journal of the American Dental Association in 2017 reported that very little research has been carried out on the effectiveness of charcoal for oral health, but the small amount of research that has been carried out indicates that not only may it be of little benefit, it may actually harm teeth. The main concern over the use of charcoal for tooth cleaning is the abrasiveness which has been demonstrated to result in scratches in the enamel surface 🙅 I think that we can safely say the myth that charcoal is good for tooth cleaning is busted for now 👊
I once had an apple pie that had crystalized ginger scattered throughout and it was amazing. I don’t know why I thought about that today but I did. I went through my pantry and fridge to see if I could find anything that would get me close to my goal of re-creating those flavors. I came up with this beauty. 🍎 A Chai Spiced Caramel Apple Float 🍎 In my blender I combined the following: 1/2 a banana, a handful of frozen steamed cauliflower, 1 scoop of @gardenoflife Grain-free Vanilla Protein Powder and a couple of spoonfuls of my homemade whipped coconut milk yogurt for the ice cream element. For the Chai Spiced Caramel Apple component I threw in a handful of dried apples, a spoonful of @matcha_konomi Chai Spice Blend, a spoonful of @healthworkschef Turmeric Powder, a dash of black pepper and a spoonful of @thedatelady Date Syrup. Finally for that bubbly effervescence I poured in some almond milk and @gtskombucha Gingerade Kombucha. Door gefermenteerd voedsel te eten krijgen we een grote hoeveelheid levende-micro-organismen binnen. Wel 10 000 keer meer dan wanneer we alleen voedsel eten die niet gefermenteerd is. Hoe vaker en gevariëerder wij gefermenteerde vezelrijke groenten eten, hoe beter voor onze darmflora. Gefermenteerde voeding zit vol functionele micro-organismen en probiotische stammen: lactobacillen en bacillus bacteriën die een gezonde darmflora nodig heeft. Als je zure komkommers wilt bereiden heb je een zoutoplossing van 5 procent nodig (pekel) - 3 eetlepels zout per 1 liter water. Komkommers kunnen worden gefermenteerd in glazen of porselein potten. Deze moeten volledig worden ondergedompeld in pekel. Om de smaak te verrijken, kunt u knoflook, venkel, mierikswortel en dille eraan toevoegen. Fermentatie bij een temperatuur van meer dan 25°C zou slechts een paar dagen moeten duren, waarna het product in een koelkast zou moeten worden bewaard.
