You know that frustrating feeling when you’re just laying in bed and know you need to sleep but can’t?
This morning that feeling turned into an awesome reminder of how much I love having my mornings for me. I was in the habit of getting up and getting my reading, planning, and workout in before work. The last few weeks I have been hitting snooze like it’s my job and barely have time for my workout. I need to get back to having these mornings to be productive!
My goal next week is to make every morning like this morning (minus not sleeping well last night) and take back my mornings for me!

How do you get yourself prepare to go out into the cold? Me either you skip the workout or you put you layers on and do it! Today workout was hill repeats and let me tell you I would of prefer to stay inside on the treadmill. I’m luck enough to have this awesome hill by our house. I wonder what the people who live over here think. Ha! This crazy runner running up and down our road. After we got rain that frozen to the ground, freezing rain and then snow. It finally stop where I could sneak out for a run before mother nation bring super cold temps. Where I’ve no choice but to stay inside ☹️. We were fortunate enough to have a mild December and mild being of January. Now Mother Nature is remind us that it’s still winter out here in the Midwest . I say bring it! Okay... I normally don't do this, but here goes nothing. This picture is who I am. In my eyes someone trying to create happiness but failing all the time with different health problems coming up to help me make excuses to not finish goals of losing the weight🤦♀️. I've tried Beachbody... loved the workout, hated the shakes and didn't want to attempt a change of eating. Lost some weight but got tired from my crappy eating habits. Then I stopped working out.
Well this is me before my first Weight Watchers meeting. This is me committing to a group where we together can help each other on this goal. Since I started I have stopped drinking (as I call it) "fully loaded soda" and I'm down to 1 diet soda a day with at LEAST 80 oz of water💦.. I am trying new things and liking it, and I have learned great tips from others on this journey too!! I follow people who have been doing this program and killing it every step of the way. Seeing their transformations inspires me that I can do this. I am working out again💪, and with great friends, family and coworker's who hold me accountable and ask ".... how many points was that..." when I try to sneak something not so healthy.-- give me a break I'm a few weeks in-- So now is my beginning to my weight loss story. I CAN do this.

15 weeks pregnant with Baby Two today and it’s really hitting me that I’m growing another tiny human inside of my belly! Every day it becomes less surreal. 😍
We will hopefully be finding out the gender in the next couple of weeks and we cannot wait! Any guesses?! 💙💗
You might be wondering why I’m showing you a picture of the corner of my room and there’s good reason for it…. This has become a place where I hop on team calls, chat with the coaches on my team and now tonight, I was able to do a video conference call and check in with one my challengers who lives 4 hours away! It got me thinking — you don’t have to have the “perfect” setup to create an impact. Sometimes, I feel like we wait to get started until EVERYTHING is perfect but we’ll be waiting forever. I know the work I am doing now in the pockets of my day will help me afford the “office goals” (swipe to see ) I have for this part-time side hustle in the future! I’d love to work there part-time in the pockets of my day.. More space and natural light and comfy chairs, a place to dream. 💭 💕 For now, you’ll find me taking action everyday from this small corner of my room. So DON’T WAIT. You are already qualified you just have to start. And most success stories don’t happen overnight but they start from humble beginnings.
I came home from a crazy day at work and had the hardest time winding down. This usually happens on days when it’s just go, go, go, literally til the moment I’m clocking out.
But today I came home to the 3rd lime green box I’ve been waiting for!! If you’ve been following me awhile you’ve probably seen me do the 3 day cleanse before! It’s the perfect reminder for me when my nutrition is in a downward spiral and I need the boost of confidence that I can make good nutritional choices.
However, this time is a little different. This time I’m joining my Dad on his first 3 day refresh adventure, AND I even managed to convince Devin to tag along too!! So while my mind was sprinting a mile a minute when I got home, I remembered I get to be locked in a house for 3 days starting Sunday with 2 of my favorite people, doing a 3 day cleanse together! So no matter how crazy the next two days get, I have something I’m really excited about to look forward to!
I’ll keep you updated via stories and hopefully nobody kills anyone! 🤣
If I could tell my younger self anything it would be to just go with the flow of life and do what you want. The world around us is constantly changing and we cannot control that. No matter how hard you try to plan for the future it’s never going to go as planned and that’s ok. It is the best part of life.

I blinked my eyes and here I am, BUT a lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this and it’s just the beginning🤭
Can’t wait to look back at this post NEXT winter and have already started paying student loans off🙌🏼

I got so emotional after my workout today and teared up.
Just last week, I was telling Ry that I am sorry he has to deal with me. I know loving someone with a mental illness (or 3 lol!) isn't easy... and I was feeling ashamed and like I was such a burden.
But this week I am starting to see the light. After a dark 6+ months, I finally am becoming happier. I am not getting done with work and watching TV for 3+ hours and ordering pizza. I'm not ignoring the dishes or laundry I haven't put away for weeks. I'm actually making healthy dinners and meal prepping again.
Have you ever heard of impossible tasks? Like you feel so depressed that even something as simple as dishes or laundry feels literally impossible. I had so many of those built up... and it felt good to get them done.
Today I was emotional because I was reminded how incredibly powerful something as simple as exercise can be. And yes, I was still working out these past 6 months where the depression got bad... but I HATED every minute. I have finally found something I don't hate - and instead of dreading it, I am excited about it.
The depression is lifting - and I am so incredibly thankful for this outlet. No, exercise will not solve all of the worlds problems or your problems. But please don't forget how much of a gift it truly is. You don't HAVE to workout - but you GET to. Not everyone GETS to - so be thankful and take advantage of that gift you are given.

Week 2, day 3 of our program complete!
That 20 minutes is rough some days, but thankfully goes by pretty quick! we push through, knowing it's only 20 minutes. 🔥
Each day of the week there are 3 different "transformer" moves throughout the workout. You do these moves for a minute and count how many you can do. You'll repeat those moves each week, and track your progress! This way, we are tracking our progress in a way that's not focused on the scale, but more on strength and endurance. I'm impressed with our numbers so far! 🙌

When my husband and I planned our house, one of my main requests was that I wanted the kitchen counters to be taller than standard counters.
I am 6 feet tall and standard counters are too short for me. 🤷🏼♀️
I got my wish and our counters are the perfect height for my husband and I! (My short family members? Not so much! 🤣)
As a result, our upper cabinets are much higher because we kept the standard distance between the counter top and bottom of the cupboards.
So, once we moved into our house, I had to do something I have never had to do before...
use a step stool to reach the top shelves of my cabinets!
I now have a slightly better understanding of what it’s like to be short! 🤣
After a really crappy day at work I drive to dairy queen only to go home and sweat out all of my frustration. I honestly didnt think I could give it more than my all but I did and then I drank my chocolate superfood shake after!

This morning Jason asked me to follow him into the bathroom and said "this was on our rug and I stepped on it" and showed me a toe nail, "I know it's yours because it has polish on it." "Whoops, sorry babe." "You are too comfortable too fast" he said.
And we laughed and joked, ALOT. .
A few minutes later he jokingly said "you know you got comfortable, because you used to wash your hair everyday and left it on the wall in the shower, now you use dry shampoo and there's no hair!" So I put hair on the wall in the shower.
And we laughed ALOT more! .

Snoozed my alarm more times than I would like to admit this morning - I missed my morning workout & I thought it was Thursday ... What a Wednesday.

Ever since my workout on Monday I have found it hard to do anything really. I don’t want to get up at 5:30am, I don’t want to finish school, I don’t want to study for my boards, I don’t want to work on my business, I don’t want to be living apart from Brandon, I JUST. DON’T. WANNA.
I tell myself I’m bored with my life but I’m not taking the steps to change it. I know what I have to do... ALL OF THOSE THINGS I JUST SAID... but this week it’s HARD.
I’ve always wanted to just be at the destination already. Like LEGIT, I’m pumped to be 89 years old because my life will be over and done and I can reflect on how bomb my life was. But NEWS FLASH EM... you gotta live the bomb ass life first. But for some reason I would rather just be at the part where I can just reflect on it.
So, here I am, attempting to study and build a business but posting on social media instead. Calling for an SOS - needing accountability and someone to help me “enjoy the ride” “enjoy the climb” or “enjoy the bullshit.” 😂

I have officially been snowed in for the last two days, and you know what? I’m not complaining! I have come to LOVE working from my sofa.
We started this brand nearly 4 years ago and had no idea where in the world it would go. Would we do it for a year and call it quits? Would we continue to use our mobile boutique? Would we sell online?
So many questions and there are still so many questions, but as I enter the last few weeks of my pregnancy I am so thankful Marge and I didn’t call it quits after one year. Sure we were loving it, but truly it was the support early on of friends and family. They told their friends who told their friends and family, and well that’s really how small businesses grow. Especially in those first few years where a budget is non existent.
Growing and learning will always be a part of our business strategy, but man am I so thankful that I can take some time off when our sweet little baby arrives. Something I wouldn’t have been able to do a year ago. As the saying goes...trust the process.
So I want to say thank you Midwest Girls for supporting this little brand of ours. I hope you know behind every post, email and personal message it’s us. Our hands are in everything.
