with the Pull-up tips. When it comes to the Military, Pull-ups are the ultimate show of upper body strength. Over the next few days I'm going to go over some quick tips that you guys can start utilising today.
1.) Work on your grip:
A. How can you expect to perform 20+ pullups if you can't even hold onto the bar for the time it takes. Make sure you practice hanging with two arms first. Then progress into one arm hangs. Set your self a time and aim to beat it.
B. Perform Farmers walks to build up your grip strength and improve shoulder stability.
C. Throw a towel over the bar and perform pull-ups holding on to each end. This mimics the grip that you will use when rope climbing and builds up great strength in your fingers and wrists.
D. Perform plate pinches. Grab a 25lb plate on the outer edge and squeeze it between your thumb and fingers. If you can hold it for more than 60 seconds, increase the weight. If you're using steel plates, an alternative is to use lighter weights but grab 3 plates then you really have to focus on squeezing them hard otherwise the middle plate will drop.
Give these a go and let me know how you get on. ✅
Way back Wednesday (just realized it is only Tuesday 🤷🏽♂️) to when my pop’s got to pin on my Basic Airborne wings. I remember finally feeling like I had something cool on my uniform (the medical badge is cool too...) and like I was actually apart of the military.
When I was a dental tech, I didn’t feel too much pride in the uniform. I mainly wore scrubs and dealt with shitty leadership constantly, I felt like I didn’t fit in and I just wanted to do my four years and go back to being a civilian.
The first time I exited the airplane, It felt like a lifetime had went by before my chute opened...but once It opened, It ripped me into a different life perspective. Exhilarating, to say the least; seeing the ground approach quicker and quicker, scrambling to gain canopy control and get a solid hold on my risers, remembering how to fall correctly once I made contact with the ground so I didn’t snap my shit. I loved It. I was no longer a leg.
This was a brief stepping stone for the CCT pipeline, so It felt good to have under my belt, but still didn’t meant shit for what I had left in store for me.
Jumpers, hit It. #beatyourboots

Always be cognizant of how powerful your thoughts are. If you pay close enough attention, you’ll notice the connection between your thoughts and your reality...
Focus on shit, you get shit. Focus on the good stuff and watch how your life begins to change. Simple concept. -
Master the mind, you can master anything. Simple in theory, far more difficult in execution. 💯
It’s hard. It’s really fucking hard. You notice the sweat dripping from your brow onto the pavement as you stumble to regain your footing...you’re breathing is heavy, your heart rate is spiked. You’re tired and you’re wondering if it’ll be worth It. You’re beginning to wonder if you’ve prepared enough or if your best simply won’t make the cut of what is expected.
Doubt is orbiting around your conscious like a shark deciding on his next meal. It smells the blood, It knows there’s a weak point somewhere. But we only allow into our minds the things that will make us better. Not this looming fear of self-doubt.
Your breath is controlled, your mind is focused as the sweat continues to drip. This is what it’s all about. This turmoil you feel right now of either succumbing to fear and fucking quitting or sacking the fuck up, and finishing what you set out to do.
