The benefits of raised beds are many, improved access, the ability to control the soil type and structure, after initial preparation they require no digging and can just be topped up with organic matter.
At HighGround raised beds are vital in our Therapeutic Environment, they provide all our Patients with a great place to grow all sorts of crops. This bed is destined to become a Rose Garden watch this space as it develops and become a reality.

Repaying a soldiers 'duty bound' ethic in return by being ‘loyal to those who loyally serve and their families’… We have recently made a £200 donation towards helping the child of an Army family get the emergency treatment she needs. Time is of the essence! if you can help in any way please do 🙏 read and watch the two links below and SHARE this on.
Anupreet ‘Anu’ Amole fought Afghan desert badlands during the British Army’s Operation Herrick VI in 2007 Aged 19, he joined the University of London Officer Training Corps, then signed up with the Royal Yeomanry, a Territorial Army unit specialising in battlefield reconnaissance, Anu combined soldiering with study at law school.
Prior to his Afghan deployment, Anu had decided to leave the Army and concentrate on his legal career. But then came 7/7, the bombings of the London public transport system in 2005, which killed 52 and wounded nearly 800. ‘That really p***ed me off,’ says Anu, 36. ‘I felt duty-bound to do something.’ So he volunteered to fight abroad again.

Today, we remember and pay reverence to all those who have sacrificed on our behalf since this fateful day 17 year’s ago. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
9/11 is a day I’ll never forget. 17 years ago, Seth and I were both in college on opposite sides of the country. I remember so vividly just staring paralyzed watching the news in shock! Seth was at Virginia Military Institute watching the same images but surrounded by young men, many who would go on to fight the same evil behind those attacks! They were ready that day, no questions asked to leave school early and put off their dreams to fight for their country 🇺🇸 To all of the amazing men and women tragically killed that day and the first responders, soldiers, sailors and airmen who have bravely volunteered since to protect us and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice as part of that selfless mission, our family is forever grateful ❤️ We will NEVER forget! ~ Lindsey

Homeless Veterans…For heavens sake enough is enough!! “They came on in the same old way”, Wellington said dismissively of his opponents, “and we saw them off in the same old way”. For decades the same policy regarding homeless veterans has basically been the same and continues to fail, so why keep the same formula?
We need a new and well constructed policy where housing for forces homeless is concerned to give those who need it the right conditions to improve their lives - it isn't that difficult if the will is there to do it, so where is it? all we hear are platitudes from those who can make a massive change for the better.
Having spoken to homeless veterans I was enlightened as to why some don't take often the first option of a hostel room, two guys said that they are safer on the street, which has been confirmed by many others.
A foremost fear is that of having their hostel door smashed in during the early hours by people on drugs looking to fund their habit. Because this is always a perceived threat possessions are taken into showers or cached in several places rather than risk being robbed - this just isn't right!
Our homeless veterans are due proper support by right, it isn't an extra’ of sorts it needs to be sorted asap in an effort to help renew their self esteem and dignity, they were once proud to wear the country’s uniform, where is our country’s pride and loyalty in supporting them?
As the Baton’s Message says, “we must be loyal to those who loyally serve and their families”
