“Cut in 0.5”
A little bit of trickery. As the heart of milky way is now higher in the sky it makes it harder to position it in one shot, so I was looking at what I could use in the foreground that the camera can be angled higher in the sky. As I was setting up, a cop car went past, turned around, came back and then the cop started asking questions. It did look dodge, parked on the side of the road in a beanie ;-). After he realised I was not a crim, I used him as a prop, he proceeds to drive down the road, turned around and drive past me so I could a take a shot of his trailing tail lights.
This was my second attempt at doing this and waited for some other cars to drive past. On the third vehicle I decided to wait until the vehicle had driven up the road and out of the shot this took about 10 seconds, then I placed myself in the middle of the shot for the next 20 seconds. This gave a ghosting effect of myself and the effect of the car lights cutting me 0.5.
