A great friend of mine and I had an awesome conversation recently. He was telling me about a time when he was a barista, serving up the best coffee around and always delivering a great experience to his customers.
People would ask him, "Why do your coffees taste so much better? Why is it that I always want to order a drink when YOU are behind the counter?" To which he would reply, "If you really want to know. There is one special ingredient I add to my coffees." They would ask, "No way! What is it?" And he would tell them... "Its called, give a shit"." Why is one service better than another? Why is one product better than another? Why is it, when making a decision between two identical products or services...you choose one over the other?
In many cases, one product or service "gives a shit" and the other doesn't. One product or service is focused on YOU, and the other is focused on ITSELF.

If you are ever bored, take that as a sign that you could be doing more with your time. It is virtually impossible to be bored nowadays, with our technology and resources so easily available.
Fear boredom! Educate, entertain, or challenge yourself. Don't just sit around 😉

It's not easy to be a deep soul in a shallow world.

For others it takes handling the storm of attention that follows and the crowdy masses that chant.
Either way it's important to know that what we search for must also first be found inside ourselves.
How many times do people see you- but do they view the world like YOU.
How many times do people listen to you, but do they hear and interpret the nyances and messages between the lines like YOU.
Life is a beautiful gift.
Life is also a big challenge.
We must be ready to change, adapt and to surrender.
Ask for help. Reach out a hand. Try another way.
Letting go of pride, stubbornness and need of control.
When body and soul craves healing we will know it. When spirit is low and needs cleansing we will feel it.
Awakenings comes from fears and hurt.
Growth comes from mistakes and inconvenience.
Alignment aspires from grounding when world rocks you the most.
A raw sprit and naked soul is something so sacred in this world.
They are rare. They are Super Stars.
And I believe we just lost one... [ R.i.p ]

I usually am so nervous about transformation or progress posts. Normally I'm nervous because I wonder what other people might think about me. I'm working on changing this, but it's the truth.
With this post, I feel differently! Since I started this program, I have been FEELING so, so good. I feel strong, comfortable in my clothes and skin, and toned. I went in to taking these pictures with the mindset that I was proud of myself no matter how they looked.
Regardless of how they looked, I was proud of myself for sticking to the meal plan for 5 full days, and for doing the workouts for 12 days. I'm proud of myself for maintaining a positive attitude towards the workouts and nutrition, and I'm especially proud of myself for realizing that I am strong enough (mentally and physically) to do this! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Listen up, because this next part is important! ➡️ The amount of time between the two pictures is seven days. S E V E N. I achieved these results with seven days of workouts and planned nutrition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What does that tell me? That tells me that I was ready for a new program! My body was used to doing the old workouts, and was no longer being challenged. It tells me that loosely following the nutrition and following the nutrition are very different things. These small changes - switching out of a preferred workout program to try something new and following the nutrition plan instead of kind of doing it - made all the difference for me. Slight modifications to your life can bring huge results!
I am sincerely so, so excited to see how the rest of this program goes for me. I've never clicked with a program so quickly before, and I'm pumped! You can do this, too! Who's ready to try it out after seeing my changes over the course of 7 DAYS?!

When it comes to exercise and nutrition, I follow the same philosophy: find something you like to do so you can be consistent and make sure it’s “easy” so you can repeat it over time.
No pain no gain is such a misinterpreted saying and I don’t believe in it. For short term gains yes this statement can be applicable. 2 days until the beginning of something wonderful.. we are so excited for this next 8 week journey!
I’m sure I’ll get at least one space cadet who will disagree with this post but hey, that’s life. Here’s the undeniable sexy truth about losing weight;
Yes, you can eat take-away, and still lose weight, and still be happy, AND still be healthy.
There is one little thing I need to mention, the above rules will only work if you’re abiding by the two laws of fat loss;
1. A calorie deficit
2. Hormonal balance
50% of people get so obsessed with labelling foods, or food groups as either ‘healthy’ or ‘unhealthy’. The other 50% are bangin’ on about being team keto, team IIFYM, team Paleo, yadda yadda flamin’ yadda.
The truth is any food can be a part of a ‘healthy’ diet. The opposite is also true; any food can be a part of an ‘unhealthy’ diet. However you choose to abide by the two laws is entirely up to you.
I seriously can't say this enough .... (Though to be fair Dr. Wayne W. Dyer said it first 🤔) When we change the way we look at things? The things we look at change!
All day, every day we're surrounded by toxic & negative situations and/or people and it can drain the life out of us if we're not careful!
When you find yourself in these situations or the company of others who drag you down ... use it as an opportunity to pause, breathe and reflect not only about how it's affecting you BUT how you can learn and grow as a result
I'm other words refocus, realign & regroup your thoughts in order that you can come to reframe the way you think and act. You begin to reboot your mindset and see things for what they really are
Remember we get what we settle for BUT we don't have to settle for what we get!
