After finding Oshie his forever home, I was going to take a break from fostering. I knew we made the best decision for him and our dogs (he is loving life with his forever family, btw!), but saying that goodbye hurt so much. That combined with needing to focus more on work during our busy season.. I was excited for an easy time with Fawx and Lycan again. I got a call shortly after Christmas about a puppy mill/ cruelty case in MT and that the rescue was receiving an influx of neglected, starving, and sick young Danes. I was nervous, and to be honest I didn’t feel ready for another foster who I thought was going to be a ton of work.. but how could I say no to helping? I am so glad I did. She was timid, skinny, not housebroken, and didn’t even know her name, let alone any commands; but I had love goggles on as soon as I brought her home and it all seemed so simple with her. She warmed up to us quickly and the most precious little spirit emerged. In record time, she somehow worked her way into Fawx and Lycan’s little clique, which I was beginning to think was impossible. It was all meant to be and I cannot express how complete she makes us. It feels like she has been with us forever. .
I will never be able to show enough love or gratitude to @rmgdri
.. such an amazing rescue.
