Me trying to “fill up on vegetables” Let’s talk about eating vegetables. Of course we need vegetables, they’re packed with nutrients and the good stuff to nourish us correctly. However most of them are gross and no one wants to eat them ever. Especially broccoli...especially broccoli. Me being over 230 pounds it’s impossible to “fill up on vegetables” I would need to eat half this pot, not enjoy a single bite, and binge later to compensate.
So what do we do about this? Short answer..if you can’t stand vegetables you can either mix them with peppers and a small serving of mash potatoes like I do, or you can skip them all together. (Don’t do the second one)
I make a small batch of mashed red potatoes and basically take about 1/4 of a cup of mashed potatoes to 1/2 cup of vegetables along with my protein. It’s my way of getting them in. If you can’t do mashed potatoes, perhaps find an alternative (sauces, low calorie gravy, cheese, ect) If you’re really in a pinch you can buy powdered vegetables and drink them, but I don’t recommend that.
