Much like the popular dude from high school who spends adulthood in Uncle Rico-esque reminiscences, I might be peaking early here. After this #ToochsTuesdayTunes
, there may be no need for another. But I need to talk about my favorite MJ album, and also one of the first vinyls I picked up.
Off The Wall is as essential as it gets to me. But then, I cite Workin' Day And Night as my favorite song of all time, full-stop when pressed for a single pick. And to take it a step further, I think Off The Wall has the greatest Side A of all time. Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, straight into Rock With You, followed by the aforementioned Workin' Day And Night, and capped off with Get On The Floor? Baby, you got a stew goin. And by "stew", I mean "flawless, unrelenting 20-minute dance party". By now it shouldn't surprise you that the song I chose to highlight was Workin' Day And Night, because it is better than every other song ever. To quote the Bee Gees (which is a very weird thing to do in a post devoted to Michael Jackson), you should be dancing. And this album can damn sure help you with that. #ToochsTuesdayTunes #MichaelJackson #OffTheWall #MJ #KingOfPop #ThoseHorns #ThatPercussion #ThatVoice #Unfuckwittable
