❓Mut. Was war das mutigste was du je getan hast? Bungeejumping? Fallschirm?
Also freundet euch damit an.

~Drinking~ idk why but sometimes I feel like there’s quite a stigma behind drinking in the fitness community! If you choose to abstain from alcohol there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that of course, but oftentimes I used to feel scared drinking thinking it would mess up my progress in the gym! The truth is you can have a couple of drinks & not completely un-do what you’ve been doing! My favorite way to stick to a routine & incorporate a healthy-ish drink is with kombucha!✨ what you’ll need for this ginger tequila tonic:
1) any brand of gluten free 100% agave tequila
of any kind (i used gingerade)
Start by adding one shot of tequila, half cup of kombucha, half a lacroix, lots of lime juice & a stick of rosemary!🌿 there you have it, an easy and healthier way to drink! Happy Monday loves❤️
I could not be more proud of this lady's progress in just THIRTY DAYS! 😱 In just a month she has already implemented so much of what she has learned from the community and that's really all it takes--small habit tweaks, day in and day out. I can't wait to see more progress from her! 💪 #communitywithcaroline
As winter is getting colder, I try to remember the warm flavors from my favorite season 🍁🍂
Apple pumpkin pie oatmeal 🥧
I took 1/2 cup of oats cooked in water, and topped with...
• apples sautéed with a little butter (just to grease the pan), topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg
• chopped pecans
I also added a little milk (not shown) for some extra creaminess.
Hope you have as much fun making this as I did eating it 🤗
"Tis the season for quitters"
I came across this harsh quote not too long ago, but of course, it holds so much truth. I've been there...its hard to set your eyes on a prize during a time where tradition and food are the same thing.
We see this season as a time to let loose and relax, we don't want to have to worry about tracking, eating vegetables, or counting calories. Well...I'll tell you this. That's NOT what it's all about.
It's about focusing on longevity, consistency, sustainment, ease of choice, FREEDOM. The 90/10 rule is the best piece of advice I've ever been given...90% of the time eat in compliance, 10% eat according to your lifestyle. That allows you to ENJOY LIFE. To enjoy that wine flight, the cider flight, the Bavarian pretzel, Grama's pierogies, tamales, mom's mac and cheese, COOKIES. Set the mindset up to enjoy, whatever that means to you, but think long-term...life-term! It IS possible!!! CHEERS to that! 🍻💙 #BrookesOnAMission #morecarbsmorefun #eat #fuelyourbody #foodisfuel #foodisfreedom #moderation #mentalhealth #bethebestyou
Have you tried our very special Seared Scottish Beef Fillet? The perfect delivery for a special occasion, enjoy with a selection of our seasonal side salads. Our beef is Aberdeen Angus cross (usually Charolaise) reared near the Ayrshire coast in Scotland. It is handpicked from a selection of farms to meet our exacting standards. The cattle are outside on the grass for most of the year and indoors in spacious barns during the harsher winter months with straw bedding. When they are indoors they are fed on home-grown haylage. We dry age our prime cuts of beef on the bone in our specially designed cool rooms for a minimum of 30 days. We often have in rare breeds such as Dexter, Hereford, Ruby Red, Longhorn, White Park from select farms across the UK.
Not as pretty as normal which kind of matches me atm... pain has been insane #lifewithchronicillness
and I gave in to way too much comfort food last night and then felt horrible all night, had anxiety nightmares, night sweats.. woke up with my ocd and anxiety off the charts, moody as hell, insane bloat, 0 motivation....
3hrs after my body said feeeed me I'm finally kicking my butt back into gear... Completed a gentle yoga session with @adrienelouise
and made this amazing dish 😍😍
I just need to remember that clean eating/moderation/mindful eating helps with so much more than just weight loss.... it's truly an amazing tool for #goodmentalhealth

It’s time for tunnel vision, fam.
Christmas Eve is a week away, and a lot of us will likely take a few days off from training and watching what we eat. As well we should! Enjoy the holidays with your loved ones. There’s actually no award given for not enjoying Christmas because “calories.” All that means is that it’s time to finish out this last week strong!
For me personally, this means I likely won’t take a full rest day (probably an active one though) and I won’t have any cheat meals. I want to head into next week feeling my best!
For those who are stressing about the upcoming holidays because of food fear, please know that you can’t ruin your progress because of a day or two off. Just get right back on the horse on Wednesday. And if you want to send me a message to talk it through, feel free.
My dad makes some 🔥 pineapple stuffing that I can’t wait to eat. What dish are you most looking forward to? Let me know. 👇🏻 #holidayfood
Monday...another week to progress, to advance, to develop towards a better, more complete you! 💪🏼Happy Monday friends!
There seems to be two major schools of thought when it comes to the holidays 🎄 and food. 1️⃣ I'm going to eat anything and everything, the diet starts January 1! 2️⃣ I'm not eating anything "bad" it's not worth it, it will totally mess me up and I'll never reach my goals. ⭐ I don't like either. They both set you up for failure. What I do think works is... Planning ahead.📅 Look at your busy schedule and pick a few days a week you can do something active. I will not take its too busy as an excuse. We are all busy! Look at what parties.🎉 you will be going to and plan accordingly. Which treats are you super excited about that you can't miss? Have one..or two...not 100 at each party.🍪 Eat well the remainder of the day making sure your getting plenty of protein. If you go a little nuts at one party, move on! Don't just throw in the towel! Encourage a family member or friend to be your accountability partner.🚶♀️ Walking is a great way to spend quality time with a family member and catch up or even your spouse at this crazy time of year!
When I’m not living my best life in these vegan streets, I’m finding ways to do these two things so I can prepare for my next vegan meals.

Great post and read by @thefitnesschef_
Many a fitness model post about their ‘cheat meals’, so naturally we think we also require this salubrious ‘off grid’ meal as part of a contemporary diet to lose fat. -
Firstly. What are you cheating? In this ‘cheat meal’ you still consume calories, just like any ‘honest meal.’ And those calories are not exempt.
Secondly. Whilst calorie dense meals can be facilitated in moderation, if you feel the need to have a monumental calorie blowout regularly, your diet is either unenjoyable or unsustainable. To ‘cheat’ regularly is to escape the core values of your goal because of struggle or lack of belief that the goal can be achieved. -
Thirdly. My graphic is an example of how these excessive meals could affect a calorie deficit. Though this specific example involves a goal derived 1700 calorie per day diet, the point remains for any calorie target. In this case, the meal & dessert on the left could fit the goal, but only if the individual didn’t eat for a day afterwards. -
The proposition is: one excessive meal and 3-5 hours of satiety or six meals, a few snacks and 48 hours of satiety for the same calorie value. Both work, but consistently consuming intense calorie dense meals may hinder overall adherence to the goal. -
Instead of ‘cheating’, looking at food objectively is better. Experienced fitpro’s may refer to their flexible diet by referencing gargantuan ‘cheat meals’ to show that they can performs dieting miracles, but the reality is that, overall, they are cheating nothing. They are aware of their overall energy intake. But for someone less informed and desperately trying to lose weight, the whole concept of cheating is misleading, pointless and unhelpful.
The mindset of ‘cheat’ says “I’m getting away with it” or “it doesn’t count”. But in reality, you’re not getting away with it and it does count. Consuming a meal excessive in calories can absolutely fit your goal, but bare in mind that blindly doing it often may have a detrimental effect 🙂.
Sugar alters our brain chemistry by disrupting our dopamine levels, aka the feel-good hormones. Thus, to maintain that level of “high,” the brain asks for more sugar.
Few tips to slow sugar cravings • remove the idea that dessert is a treat for eating dinner. It is a treat period!
• fake sugars are so much sweeter and more addicting for your brain it really doesn’t understand the difference
• stop eating foods with high fructose corn syrup it’s in everything check your labels
Not saying don’t eat sugar just saying don’t eat sugar all day long everyday and be cautious of zero calorie sweeteners and their harmful side effects
Alternatives for habits •swap out a flavored tea for one sugar coffee drink
•swap dessert after dinner 5 days per week for
a banana, almond butter, couple pieces dark chocolate, decaf cappuccino , herbal tea
go for a walk right after dinner to break the cycle

My typical breakfast before going to the gym is @stonemillbakehouse
whole grain toast + nut butter + raspberry or banana + @silk
unsweetened soy milk ☀️ Topped it off with some @bobsredmill
unsweetened coconut flakes today! Talking to people recently I've learned that they don't eat before morning workouts or they feel sick after. This came to a surprise to me as I need to eat something, or I'll feel like I'm gonna pass out. Just goes to show that everyone is different and what works for 1 person may not work for another. It's important to listen to your body and let it guide you! Hope everyone has a great Monday!
Happy Monday y’all! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! My heart is so full. I spent so much time with great friends this weekend and then my Sunday night was spent working on my coaching business responding to emails and getting a new blog post up! Still so amazing to me that I get to run this business from home and live out my passion of helping others change their lives thru health and fitness! I still have room to mentor a couple ladies who are wanting more than their dead end corporate job they dread going to each day! No experience necessary! Only requirements are you have a passion for helping others and want to share your journey! Drop me a DM or follow the link in my bio to fill out an application!
Do you feel motivated to go to the doctor? Motivated to sweep your floor? Motivation to do the laundry? Motivation to brush your teeth? .
I’m going to guess that the answer most of the time is probably not. BUT WE DO THESE THINGS ANYWAY BECAUSE WE VALUE THE RESULTS. We care about our health, not stepping on crunchy bits of old rice, having clean underwear, and not scaring our friends away with our breath. .
Why should fitness be any different? .
I think there are very few people that feel motivated to workout all the time. Guilty! I'm right over here, cursing in my head about 75% of the time I am on my way to my workout. .
But I do it anyway because I value
Strength to lift my kids, groceries, furniture, whatever I want
Energy to enjoy my day instead of just drudge through it
Have a tool to manage my anxiety and depression
Having an outlet for my stress and frustration
Time for myself
Being able to enjoy all my experiences
Not having my body hold me back - ever again
Being able to squat down, play on the floor with my kids, bend to pick something over, etc etc etc without it even taking a second thought or feeling heavy and awkward in my body
Being able to run or take the stairs without getting out of breath
Feeling confident and happy with the way I look (most of the time!)
How much better I feel when the workout is over
Don’t wait for motivation; it may never come. WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE FIT AND HEALTHY? Write it down in the comments and back it up with one small action today.

Hello! Just a friendly reminder to treat yourself kindly in this week leading up to Christmas (and always) 🙃. Food does not have morals, and you’re not a good or bad person based on what or how much you eat ever.
Also a friendly reminder that this combo exists and @rigoniasiagousa
hazelnut spread tastes better than Nutella IMO. Raise yo hand if this brings u back to childhood 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️.
Third friendly reminder that insta is never the full picture. This was a part of my brekky only!!!

I get frustrated sometimes when people say things like “Oh you can’t eat that because it’s not on your diet.” and “What diet are you on?” This thing called health and fitness is a lifelong journey for me. It’s a way of life. I feel better, perform better, and just so happen to look better when sticking with this lifestyle. I used to have the diet mentality but now I know I am doing this for my health. It’s a game changer when you have the right mindset. #nodiethere #eattolivenotlivetoeat #health #fitness #iifym #istilleatwhatiwant #moderation #foodisfuel #fitmom #momstrong
