My practice gets better and better every day.
By no means am I perfect, but my mind stops racing for 30-60 minutes, and that’s perfect to me.
For a long time, I’ve been drawn to yoga and have practiced off and on here and there.
Now, I’m more aware of my body on the inside, and it makes me feel better on the outside.
I find that after my practice, I’m less irritable, find grace for others easier, don’t get frustrated with the girls or Steve as easily, and even myself because that voice inside can be a real B*tch sometimes.
Even on super crazy days like today and the upcoming holidays, I find that when I get my practice in first thing, the day goes much smoother.
So while I’m not perfect today, and probably won’t ever be, that’s perfectly fine with me. .
Find space and every opportunity to give yourself grace and gratitude, it will make life that much easier 💕
we started our seasonal craft wall last month and so far, so good. thanksgiving was especially important this year because we wanted to teach zoey that this holiday exists after halloween but before christmas. i started immediately after grandma put up a mini christmas tree on her tv stand and zoey came running out of the room yelling, "mommy it's christmas time!!"🤦🏻♀️

There are so many things that hold you back from achieving what you would like to achieve:
✔Comparison - you expect the same results that others have already achieved. Realize that your journey will be different. Your struggles and your mistakes will have different results. That doesn't mean that you won't achieve the same success, it just means you have to find what works for you.
✔ "IF" - when you use phrases like "what if it were possible", "am I good enough", "am I on the right path". These do not motivate you! Start asking yourself, "how will I make it happen?", "what is the first thing I need to do?", "is there someone who can assist me?" Now find answers fo these. ✔Permission or approval from others - You feel like you will look like a fool. You want others to like you. You want others to support your goals but they don't. STOP!! 🛑 You have to stop seeking the approval of others and start believing in yourself and trust that when something feels right, it is right! Don't stop working if you know that the end result makes you fulfilled!! Dont stop reaching when each step you take says you are on the right path! Stop listening to the naysayers! They are stuck in their own fear!
✔Right time - You put it off because you feel it isn't the "right" time. This is a delay tactic of your mind and the fear that is holding you back. There will never be a "right time". The "right time" is when you take that first step and start doing. By starting you learn and grow and start to figure out what works and doesn't work. If you didn't start, you would never know.
✔Instant results - you get frustrated when you feel that people are not noticing all your effort and you just give up. You need to be patient, consistent and give yourself a realistic set of goals and deadlines to achieve the result you want. Understand that the end result may have delays along the way. Life happens, but that doesn't mean you give up.
✔No action - you have plans, you have them all laid out. You have hashed out all the details, you dream about them and visualize in your head, BUT you haven't acted on them. You need to step over the fear that holds you back and just do the things!

Happy Weekend everyone! We are gearing up for the next week’s start to the holiday season (who’s ready? 🙌)!
Happy weekend ya’ll 😁 What I love about adulting are the epiphanies of self-discovery. With this learning, we spend less time trying to be someone else. I had one yesterday, it was so obvious that I marveled at not realizing it until yesterday but we can’t buy time, it takes time for our brains to connect pieces together. I would also like to add that we love to live in moments of happiness and excitement, however, moments of unhappiness are catalysts for driving change in our lives (hopefully positive ones). There’s absolute power in admitting I’m not happy, this is not working for me, this does not feel right to me, I need to change something here, I feel lost in this process, I need to pause for now, I need to pause until further notice. Whatever you need to stop, speak the TRUTH to yourself, you take it. But don’t stop there. Also consider the consequences of the decisions you make. Admit it to yourself, I choose to do ABC means I will have to cut XYZ. I will spend my time on ABC means I will not spend time on XYZ. I will start eating ABC means I will not buy XYZ. If you can agree with living with the consequences of your decisions, you are more likely to be successful in the change you seek. So in summary, adulting is exciting, speak the truth to yourself, admit what needs to change, and go get it knowing you can live with the consequences.
