What a great afternoon we had!! Macy and Colby took Momma to the library, along with YayYay, to get their library cards! They have been enjoying the library with my parents for a while, today was special because I got to go along. I am amazed at the transformation of the library, it is beautiful. We had so many lessons in the short 42 minutes we were there.

I probably eat meat only a couple times a week..something my homeopath says I need to do more often. The lack of protein in my diet causes me to eat more sugar and carbohydrates. So to “protein things up”😜, I made Lamb Lettuce Wraps for dinner. They were delish👌. I cooked ground lamb in a skillet, seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic. And then stir fried zucchini, red onions, and leeks, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and turmeric. Put the lettuce leaves together and topped with cilantro. Simple yet yummy 👅💦.
Yesterday I was shocked, to the core, as I heard multiple people insult me on my size and furthermore on how I can be a Health Coach in my current state of weight. I was furious. .
I laughed it off as usual and went on with my day but it stuck in my head as a Body-Shaming bad joke that I'd been told my whole damn life.
You see, after spending all my life with "thick thighs that will always kiss each other as I walk", a small chest, rounded hips and a curvy image, I hated myself for so long with the body God gave me. It wasn't until the last 2.5 years that I've learned to truly love myself and share the message of being real while loving ourselves HEALTHILY exactly where we are. .
Have I lost 25lbs? Yes. Does that define me? Hell, no. .
My "before" and "after" photos I regularly post as a health Coach are a reminder that I've come a long ways INSIDE and out. And I will ALWAYS be on a health journey my whole life...that is the beauty of it! They are not intended as a "look at me get skinny" forum.
Friends. If you have befriended me or followed me because you think I'm on a journey to get skinny, you are mistaken. If you think that being on a diet of water and crackers is where it's at, then you need to follow that person that does that. If you desire to watch me throw away my laughter, my joy and my real RAW beauty to eat only in fear, you will need to wait your entire life. .
I spent all my life in yo-yo diets, binging and dieting, cleansing constantly while in pain just to lose that 1lb. I will never be that Jocelyn again. .
And to all of you, who look at Health Coaching with a scale instead of a full picture of eating healthy with moderation, exercising to get your body moving and freedom from depression, reading positive things and surrounding myself with kick-ass women who are every day being their best version.....

The girls were witches today and made a witch’s brew! Their favorite part was making the brew fizz but they also enjoyed all of the creepy crawly things to add into the brew. They even said they wanted to eat it for lunch! 😮
Shine bring, Stay positive!!! It's not easy today. I realized that my recipe for dinner needed to start cooking at 10am and I needed an ingredient duh !! So thankful for that I able to work from home and clock out to run to the store and come home start dinner in the crock pot and went back to work had an appointment at 1245 went over to it. Got back eat lunch cook. Still having 2 hrs of work left and having desire to bake banana bread and clean the house. But probably won't happen once I'm done with work I'm so exhausted already 😂 but my Jesus is with me listening to the radio in car today was so great!!

You have choices!! And you are in control of these choices. It saddens me to hear moms struggling through life, feeling stuck, feeling like they ‘should’ do x or have this. Feeling so busy and worried about what’s next, they don’t have time to stop and appreciate what’s happening today and right now. .
No, it’s not a fairy tale with butterflies rainbows and hearts. Life/motherhood is messy, challenging, and most importantly changes us in ways we may not have been prepared for.
Let’s get rid of the mystical image of motherhood. Let’s stop comparing ourselves to other mothers. .
We are all different and unique. Therefore, our momming styles, our values and our life goals will be different. It’s easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing, causing us to second guess our choices.
Whether you want to run a marathon, eat healthier, start a business, build your confidence, be happy, go back to school, pursue your passion, feel better in your skin, or slow down, you can!!
The truth is you don’t need to struggle through life wishing things would be different, thinking if only (fill in the blank), then I would be happy.
It does takes effort and intention. Let’s get rid of the negative talk, the guilt, and the feeling that we are not enough! You are enough!
But that doesn’t mean you can be everything for everyone. We need support, we need to ask for help and we need to take care of ourselves.

Looking at these pictures I have figured out what a gift AGING has been to me. This picture was taken of me in college. I was not in tune with my body. I did lots of indulging, drinking, and partying. I had not figured out yet that my body and mind needed to be treated with more respect. I had a lot to learn and a lot of growing up to do.
Fast forward 18 years later, I have been blessed to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle. I get to share this lifestyle everyday in my home with my family. I get to share it with my team of coaches who are leading other women to do the same. I get to share this lifestyle with other women who are just getting started and need a little support.
If you find yourself looking at old pictures of yourself and thinking the best version of you was in the past. I’m going to tell you that there are GOOD times ahead! There is still PLENTY of time to learn how to be a healthier, happier, and better version of yourself. 💗
There have been times in my life that I have just felt overwhelmed, bogged down with life, barely surviving…. I think sometimes kids do that to us… life, work, marriage. It’s hard. But friend… “life is not supposed to overwhelm you at all times. Life isn’t merely survived - It’s mean to be lived.”. If you are struggling here friend… i just want to encourage you to find some time for YOU. Find time to work on finding that balance. Find time to truly work on you and your circumstances. Wow! What a full circle experience that was! I needed today to remind me of all the growth and what I have worked for and why I made the choices and changes I have.
This farm, it’s so significant. And to be here with Tate is even more significant. And the relationships, yup even more significant.
The school across the street from this farm is the school that I taught at for the last 6 years of my teaching career. When I taught kinder, we started taking the kids here for our fall field trip. The owner of the farm happens to be the friend that is closer to family relationship. I was Ella’s teacher when we first went here. I missed Maya’s field trip here. Couldn’t go for Tate’s either.
I was asked to help teach the kids in a station and Tate wanted to join. So we took the morning off and I went back to my roots teaching kinder standards and having fun with 5 year olds.
My old co workers and archers of my kids were bring heir students around and I got an opportunity to dust off my lesson plans.
I went this morning as a favor to a friend and I am so glad I said yes because it reminded me of so many things.
I’m a natural teacher. From being 6 years old and playing school with my stuffed animals to being 10 and teaching my younger cousins to 13 years in the classroom teaching all elementary grade levels to now teaching my own kids and teaching other mamas how to love their best lives.
No matter what I do, I pour my heart and soul into it. I never ever intended to leave the elementary classroom when I began coaching. I really thought the additional $500 and $1000 a month was a game changer and it helped our family significantly.
It wasn’t until this moment with this little booger that I thought what if...
What if I could work his business 2 hours a day instead of 3. What if I could make $1000 a week instead of a month. What if I could chaperone field trips instead of just hear about them.
This moment today, seeing my 7 year old shine as he skipped school and taught his peers about this farm that he grew up on. To be on this side of it teaching with passion instead of stressed rounding up 5 year olds. To have the flexibility and freedom!
