Yesterday's foundations & core work 👌 Whether you've never been pregnant, had babies years ago or are currently pregnant it's so important to create good core connection, a lot of times this is over shadowed by focusing on the rectus abdominus aka six pack muscle. But it is the foundation for a strong core when we can connect deeper, breath diaphragmatically and really use our core in movement. ❤️ Some of these are a more advanced version of the foundations exercises in the SugarySixpack app prenatal plan(and will show up in the postpartum plan😀 when it's there)! They can be used when you have a good core connection and are not deep in(showing is an easy rule) a pregnancy! 👉There's a quick YouTube video explaining the core connection hold I'm using in the plank variations where I'm holding them! WHAT. WAS. THAT. . WOW! . 25 min workout and that quite literally kicked my 🍑!!! . Now let's just get something straight here....NO, I am not committing to long workouts or a dialed in nutrition plan this time of year. Heck no! . 🎄It’s the Holiday Season!🎄 I plan to enjoy myself! But I DONT plan on falling totally off the wagon either.🙅🏻‍♀️ . But come January.....you can bet I am going to dial things back in! I’m pregnant with out last baby.. it’s a bitter sweet feeling this will be the last time I feel a baby move within me , the last time I bring life into the world , the last time I hold a newborn and the last time I breastfeed. I’m going to enjoy this journey and be positive all the way . Who the heck has 1.5 hrs to commit to the gym with babies at home 🤷🏻‍♀️😫😫. I say this because back a few years ago, when I made the commitment to going to the gym, it would literally take me hours from start to finish! Not because I was a die hard fitness person (HA!) but because that is how long it took me to get my kids ready, settled into day care, and then packed up again! It was MADNESS!!!! . This guy was the REASON I started working out at home ... after 4 babies , I couldn’t justify the time and EFFORT to get myself ready and get to the gym 🤱🏻🤷🏻‍♀️. . At the time, our quickest workout available was 30 minutes long and I was skeptical it would work . Well .... it blew my mind 🤯. BUT NOW .... did you know we are releasing a 20 MINUTE WORKOUT PROGRAM!? IM NOT EVEN KIDDING !! . Lunch break workout - NO PROBLEM!! Baby barely naps - NO PROBLEM!! I guess this is theme of the week 😜 Here is a little excerpt from my book I’m reading. . . . Honestly she’s so spot on. “You cannot properly take care of your children or teach them how to be whole and happy people if you are miserable and harsh with yourself.” . . . Guess what? In the very least we all deserve that. I mean it seems obvious right? I mean your not going to jump up and be doing things that are bad for you, but why aren’t you jumping up and taking care of yourself? Because not doing anything is just as bad as doing harmful things. . . . I don’t know about you but i am not teaching my kids to use and abuse mom for anything and everything. I think it’s hard enough to get away from this damn mindset that moms should be a main caretaker of the kids (hello this is 2018, not 1950). . . . So am I making time for myself? Heck yes! Every morning I’m burning off stress and energizing myself. I’m taking the time to plan and make healthy meals not just for my family but for me too. We have to take care of ourselves first if we want to be able to care for others. Period. . . . Okay so your on board but your having a hard time fitting me time into your schedule? Find a way. I don’t care even if your not a mom we are all guilty of losing track of ourselves. Make the time. I mean if you saw my stories today we had a program launch that’s only TWENTY minutes. If you tell me you don’t have 20 minutes I’m going to call you a liar. . . . Your not selfish for feeling overwhelmed or burnt out. You might see others out there like super mom or working all the time and think how do they do it and I’m over here like a zombie. Guess what no ones super human and if it appears that way then your problem getting a highlight reel. . . . Eat right. Take care of your body. Take care of your mind.

Yesterday I invested in myself BIG TIME.😬 . For 4 full hours to be exact. . And it was amazing.🙌 . It was called a Time and Energy Intensive and it was magical!!! . The moment you start to invest in yourself, I promise you, you will change. You will level up. You will realize your worth. And that makes you a better mother, wife, and friend.✌️ . So many women are hesitant to invest in themselves, and I don't just mean money....I also mean time and energy. . Once thing I took away from yesterdays intensive was you need to take control of your day, or it is going to control you.👊🏻 . Quick 6 min abs! So important to really focus on correctly engaging your core when doing abs so that you're not dumping into your back or over using your hip flexors! I talk about it in the YouTube video but you always want to make sure you're not having any coning/doming down the midline of your abs, especially prenatal/ postpartum! I wouldn't recommend these after the first trimester of pregnancy.I take you through the full 6 minutes on YouTube, up later today!😊 👉I didn't start doing more traditional ab exercises until a few weeks ago and I added them very gradually to make sure I could correctly control my intra abdominal pressure and engage my core in each movement. There are still a lot of exercises I'm not doing when it comes to ab work! It's always much better to hold off until you can do the exercises correctly especially postpartum. ⭐38 seconds work : 12 rest × 2 rounds⭐ ×Swimmers× ×Slow Bikes× ×Scissors×

You can do hard things. I never thought of myself as a mom. It seemed hard. I was pretty sure I wouldn't be good at. Add to it that I have the best mom.. I just didn't think I could do all the things I felt she had done for us. So while I never said I didn't want kids, I wasn't really thinking I did or planning it. Of course God stepped in and said I was and I realized I was going to do the thing I was scared of (so happy about it now😄). And of course, here we are, I'm doing it. And yes it can be hard but it's not the impossible task I built it up to be in my head. We make it through the hard days and I'm always learning and growing as I go. •Never count yourself out of something just because you think it's too hard. And especially not because you don't think you have the ability. Nobody starts as an expert. Nobody has it all figured out. Breaking up the trip into small manageable pieces with some gas station stretches 😆 This was the first long car trip with @itsnoahrobert ! The trip from NC to PA should be about 7.5 hrs but with 2 long stops for this guy it was closer to 10! I was a little bit worried about how it would go buttt just like everything else in life, taking it one manageable step at a time made it work out much better than I anticipated when I thought about that ride as a whole!👐 It also helped that my travel companions were the best! Between me, Gus, uncle Jo and Grandma & Grandpa there was plenty of entertainment in the van😅 Couldn't have had a better Thanksgiving! I hope everyone else is having an amazing weekend!
