Momin' ain't easy. .
It's physically and mentally exhausting, at times mind numbing. If you're anything like me, you constantly feel like a failure or at struggle with constantly wondering if you're doing enough or doing things right. .
Two things I've learned over the last 5 years and 3 kids: .
1. NO ONE has there shit all together, no matter what it looks like from the outside. There is NO SUCH THING as a perfect parent. And there is NO one right way of doing things. We all just have to do what's best for us, our kids, and our family. (And that looks different for everyone.) .
2. You HAVE TO take care of yourself too. If you're going to be able to continually pour into your kids and your family, you can't be running on an empty tank. Take care of your health. Catch up on sleep when you can. Fuel your body with quality nutrition so you have the strength and energy to keep up. Find the joy. .
Do you KNOW you are enough? You know you're doing ok, right Mama? What are you doing to take care of yourself today?
When Emil started kindergarten I made him a learning cart with all his number and letter games, his Leapfrog, workbooks I found at the Dollarstore, and a toolcase filled with paper, coloured pencils and other supplies. Turns out he loves playing with all this stuff. And I love watching this boy grow.
My friend Krista and I talked yesterday. We laughed out loud at my admission that at least we are better than a group home. #funnynotfunny

I was telling my Mom this morning...we yell more than we should, we are far from perfect, but our kids are safe, healthy, have food to eat, and are being raised by sinners trying to point them to Jesus. Maybe that’s enough. A sports schedule, social agenda, or career advancement are not good enough reasons to say no. They just aren’t. #handsandfeet
Going to the gym and getting my 20% in is the best destresser there is. When going through struggles in life, instead of drowning in food, alcohol or any bad habit, go for a jog, walk around the neighborhood, go to the gym, paint or simply do an activity that will get your mind out of that problem to think clearly on what you can do about it.
Life is not easy, and it will never be, but just like gold when you put it through the fire (over 1000 degrees C or almost 2000 F) to get refined, which involves removing impurities that remain after the melting process. Workers add borax and soda ash to the molten metal, which separates the pure gold from other precious and less precious metals. It might not be beautiful in the beginning but what comes out of it is what catches our attention. The point is, let's learn from those things happening to us but let's DO something about it to change the situation if possible and always keep a POSITIVE mind
Remember, living a healthy lifestyle is not just eating healthy and keeping physically active but also keeping your mind healthy. The changes must come from within also😉

Happy Wednesday ☕️🌿
Waking up with a GRATEFUL heart. 💗 The last couple of days have been so intense & just exhausting! I am extremely grateful for God and his Grace (& my amazing husband of course. )😌 I adore my babies don’t get me wrong but being a mom can be a lot. The girls just both had a birthday & although I loved decorating and planning for their day i was sick the entire time! 🙈 On top of that Aliyah & I reached our 1 year mark in our BF journey and it was time guys... which was also very exhausting both physically & emotionally. (If your a momma you understand.) There has also been a lot of hard decisions and other things going on over here that I’ll share in another post but what I’m trying to get at is that no matter what is going on in your life be grateful! Grateful that you are alive , grateful for everything God has done, & grateful that he’s not done with you yet & has a plan for you that will never fail. 🙏🏼 •

Have you ever felt like you were in battle with your own body?
So many of us are so busy fighting within ourselves that we can’t lose weight, can’t sleep, live in a constant state of overwhelm, and become our worst enemy. We are unhealthy physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We are so focused on being busy and what’s “wrong” with our lives that we forget to slow down and be in the moment. To listen to our bodies and take care of the parts of us that keep us functioning in a way that makes us feel incredible energy and joy.
What would it feel like to love your body, inside and out? What would it feel like to not think about food 24/7 or how different you would like to look or compare your life to someone else’s? What would it feel like to slow down and just be? To let your body rest holistically so that the battle can end?

T H R E E months old. Our little Braders has already been in our lives for 3 whole months. He is such a happy and easy baby. He gives us the sweetest smiles, loves to watch his brother and sister play-or fight, filling out his 3 month size clothes now, working on gaining weight by guzzling his bottles no problem, and just brings us so much joy 💙
Decided to head to the cafe this morning to get out of my own head and plan for the next week. My days off are Wednesday and Thursday, so I plan and prep for my next week on these days. Who says Sunday or Monday are when it has to happen? .
I couldn't focus at home. I found myself laying on the couch or on my bad and just getting lost in thought. Action is when things happen, so I changed my scenery and made it happen. Fighting against yourself has to be one the hardest battles we all face. Get me? Please let me know I'm not alone. .
