The holidays are such a beautiful time of year; but they can also be filled with insurmountable comparisons.
Four years in a row, we experienced miscarriages around the holidays leaving me feeling empty, sad, and not enough. I compared my life to others’ with the same result every single year....that what I had in front of me.... was not enough.
These tough seasons are so hard and I wish I could say things will turn out exactly how you want them to turn out. The truth is we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. But I can tell you, that in this very moment... you are enough.

It was one year ago (yesterday) that we found out we were bringing 3 fierce ladies into the world!!! We found out we were pregnant with triplets at our 8 week ultrasound, and carried the secret with us for two long months. We told only our parents, siblings, my cousin who has multiples, and one friend who accidentally found my registry online before the reveal 😂 (if you’ve ever watched our reveal video and thought the people up front didn’t look surprised, that’s because those were the few who knew!) We gathered 50 or 60 of our friends and family members for a BIG gender reveal party. It was kind of embarrassingly large, and I kept thinking everyone probably thought we were a little crazy for making such a big deal of it all! Little did they know, we would be revealing THREE genders that day! .
I rehearsed the story I would tell in my mind hundreds of times each day in the 2 months leading up to sharing our secret. It was literally driving me mad not being able to share our news. Three wishes and three babies! We wanted to tell EVERYONE, but we managed to hold it in for the reveal. We did not know the genders, although I swear I knew the identicals were girls after trying to peak during my ultrasound 😜 We gave the envelope to my sister days before the reveal, and she filled the boxes for us. I remember feeling SO nervous standing in front of everyone!! We had additional friends and family FaceTiming in (one friend hung up after the first box thinking it was over 😂😂😂)
After the reveal, I had a hard time sending the large video file to friends and family who weren’t at the party, so I made an edit and stuck it on YouTube to more easily share the link with family, and access the video myself. After posting the video, we started getting tens of thousands of views! We couldn’t believe it, but it was fun seeing people so interested in our crazy story. Fast forward a year, and we have over 2 million video views, and an amazing support system of people on Instragram who love following the journey of our wishful trio 💗💗💗 Thank you for sharing this journey with us! STOP DIETING... Yep, you read that right. The thing that has helped me be the most consistent with my fitness journey, has been to stop dieting.
You see, "diets" are temporary. You start one, with an expected stop date. As soon as you come off that diet, and go back to your old eating habits, the weight comes back.
Think of it more like a "lifestyle". Your eating habits should be something you can do for the rest of your life. Any "diet" that tells you to cut out a certain food group, is not realistic nor sustainable.
A plan that incorporates whole, healthy food with a little wiggle room is what works best for me. I eat healthy 80-90% of the time, and still allow myself treats. If I want a donut, I eat it. And I don't punish myself.
It's not what you do sometimes, it's what you do most of the time. Don't restrict yourself. Learn how to balance. .

This picture doesn’t even do it justice but she definitely has a black eye. She gave it to herself jumping onto the couch last night, missed the couch, and hit the corner of the console table with her cheek bone.
She then fell down 1/4 of the stairs on the way out the door this morning.
