I start every day with the same morning routine. It starts with a short yoga practice. I love the feeling of deep breath, the stretch and strength in my muscles, and the way it wakes me up and gets me ready for the day. How do you start the day? When you are feeling overwhelmed, do you think it's because of all the demands on your time, because of your kids or your circumstances? April Berezay says that this is victim mentality. Instead, we need to look at our commitments to ourselves and to our self care. Are we doing the things we need to do to take care of ourselves? When we keep our commitments to ourselves, we won't be overwhelmed with whatever life throws at us. Do you agree or disagree? Have you seen this make a difference in your life? #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #selfworth #selfesteem #selfesteem #selflove #selfconfidence #lifecoach #selfcare #loveyourself #loveyourself #confidenceiskey #committed #confidence #positivevibes #selfhelp #lifecoaching #personalgrowth #personalgrowth #momlife #motherhood #parenting #parenting #parenting #parenthood #parenthood #parentlife #uniteinmotherhood #motherhoodrising #moms
This was my family three years ago. Four kids, what I thought was just the right number. But God had a better plan! In thinking about what I wish I would have known as a new mother this week, after my conversation with @the8cowlife on the podcast, I realized that I had no idea as a new mother how much my plans would change! And that's okay! I believe that God has a better plan for my life than I ever could! #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #motherhood #momlife #motherhoodrising #parenting #parenthood #parentlife #mommylove #lovemom #uniteinmotherhood #motherslove #mothercare #mothers #momlifeisthebestlife
Self care as a mom is taking care of yourself so that you can take better care of everyone else! I say it a lot. But I still need to be reminded because I forget. I still feel mom guilt sometimes for doing something I want to do instead of spending every moment with my kids. I still question whether I deserve that time for self care. We all need to be reminded sometimes. Self care helps us show up better. It doesn't make us selfish; it makes us better as women and better moms! Is this something you struggle with? Even though you know it's not, does self care ever FEEL selfish to you? #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #selfcare #selflove #loveyourself #selfworth #positivevibes #mindfulness #momguilt #momlife #motherhood # #parenting #parenthood #parentlife #sahm #busymom #wahm #selfconfidence #mama #mommylove #motherslove
The other day I was in a plank contest. There were over 20 people up on stage trying to hold plank as long as we could. The guy I was next to was trash talking and said that he would for sure beat me. I kept holding plank. He was getting tired and said ,"You do this all the time in yoga, don't you?" Yes, I do. He quit. There were only about 6 people left. My body was shaking. I had already beat lots of people and I gave up. I don't know if I could have won the whole thing. It went on for a long time. But here's the thing: I could have gone longer. I could have kept going. It wasn't my body that quit, it was my mind. It made me think of this week's podcast: motherhood is hard, but it has so much to do with how we show up and where our mind is. We can do so much more than we think we can! So if today is hard, don't give up! What would you tell your pre-motherhood self? I would say: take time for you. Cherish the moments. You don't have to be perfect; your imperfect trying is enough. So many of the little things that you think matter, just don't matter. What matters is this: love your kids, love yourself, love your husband. The days are long (oh so long!) but the years are short. Go easy on yourself. You are doing better than you think. Meg has more great ideas of what she would tell her pre-motherhood self in this week's podcast. Children "love you exactly how you are. They don't have a preconceived notion of how you should be as a mother; they just want you. That's all they want." This!!! This is what I needed to know as a new mother. That my mothering, though totally imperfect, is just what my kids need. They were sent to me for a reason, and your kids were sent to you for a reason: your kids need you. They want YOU. YOU are just the right mom for your kids! #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #momlife #youareenough #motherhood #parenting #parenthood #parentlife #mommylove #motherslove #lovemom #mothers
Between running two podcasts, working from home, these 5 kiddos I have, running around and all the other things I want to do, lately dinner has been kind of an afterthought everyday. It keeps getting to about 4:00 and I think, "Darn it! I have to make dinner AGAIN?!" Remember last week on the podcast when @jazzythings talked about her meal planning system? It's done for you grocery lists, meal plans and recipes. Oh. My. Goodness. Total Game Changer! I am doing a little happy dance over here about how easy it is and how it is taking the stress of what to make for dinner away. L-o-v-e it!!! When I was a new mom, I didn't know how wide a range of emotions I would feel. How I would crave alone time- wanting a little space- and at the same time long desperately to be with other people! How I would be so tired and at the same time so energized by seeing my baby girl smile at me. How I would feel total joy at being a mom, while at the same time, feeling like I would never get it right! Being a mom is HARD! So hard! Meg Tilton from @the8cowlife shares tips for new mothers to help you know you are not alone! Really, even as a veteran mom of five, the wisdom Meg shared was a good reminder for me of the importance of being a mom. You will love this week's podcast! Confession: this is not my table. I have never set a table that looked this good, to be honest. Our dinner table is stained in places where people "forgot" to wipe their spills. The paint is chipping in places from when people DID wipe their spills. Our plates are the Corelle I swore my family would never have. You get a fork, or a spoon if we're having soup. No knife, and napkins are handed out on an as needed basis. Nope, our meals are not fancy. But we do have family dinner. We sit together and talk about our day. We remind our boys (repeatedly!!) to stop burping at the table (maybe that lesson will stick soon...) Family dinner doesn't have to be fancy to be meaningful. If you struggle to get dinner on the table, be sure to listen to this week's podcast with @jazzythings for awesome tips on how to get dinner on the table so you can have this not-always-fancy, but always worth it experience too 😘 #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #nourish #realfood #nourishyourbody #eatrealfood #family #momlife #parenting #familydinner #motherhood #healthyeats #healthyeating #mealtime #dinner #parenthood #familylife #cooking #mothers #motherslove

Headed back to the hamptons if we can make it out of here. Pretty sure my town was destroyed but there's no way for me to really find out. There are trees uprooted everywhere, power lines all over the streets and insane flooding, so please say a prayer for us. I recently looked up the definition of the word "nourish" and here's the definition: "provide with the food or other substances necessary for growth, health, and good condition." We understand that we need to feed our bodies to stay healthy and strong. But what are we doing to feed our souls? This is why I'm so passionate about self care for moms! Nourishing your soul is going what is necessary for you to grow, be healthy and in good condition spiritually, mentally and in every other way! Being with friends, taking a bath, watching the sunrise, snuggling my kids, reading a great book, kissing my husband, eating dark chocolate- these nourish my soul and keep me going! So happy and relieved right now! I am working on a new book about self care and I had just started chapter 7 when I found a great story I wanted to use in chapter one. When I searched for it in my documents, it was gone. And chapter 3 was gone. And chapter 4 was gone too. All Deleted. And emptied from the trash. With no backup. So much frustration and tears! I was about ready to take it as a sign that I'm not supposed to write this book! I was praying that somehow those chapters would show up and I could get them back! After spending tons of time on it... I found a program that is able to search in my computer and I GOT THEM ALL BACK!! My book writing will go on!!! #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #praying #writing #writer #writingcommunity #relieved #grateful
The primary song, "A Child's Prayer" has been running through my mind all week. Maybe because our primary sacrament meeting presentation is this Sunday. 😀 This is a favorite song. When I was in high school, my sisters and I would sing it for my mom. Now I only have one sister that had musical talent, and she would play it on the piano (but saxa phone was her strength) and my younger sister and I would do our best at singing it. But still my mom loved it (I think, she may correct me 😂). Now, with a few more years of experience under my belt, I think I know why. This is one of those songs, like "I Am a Child of God", with a simple, but so very powerful message. The first line of the first verse often comes when I am troubled and my heart aches. "Heavenly Father are you really there?" But, thankfully, the second verse quickly responds, "Pray, He is there. Speak, He is listening. You are His child. His love now surrounds you." What more important lesson do we need in our lives than this: 1. You ARE a child if God 2. He HEARS your prayers 3. He LOVES you What primary songs have brought comfort to you or strengthened you testimony? #thechurchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints #mormon #mormonmon #lds #ldsmom #momswhoknow #womenwhoknow #ldsprimary #primarysongs #ldsletteringleague #lll_prayer

I have started into the war chapters of Alma. Do you struggle with them like I do? Today's study was in Alma 43. Moroni is chosen as captain to lead them against the Lamanites, who are led by former Nephites, the Amalekites and Zoramites. These former Nephites have an intense hatred of the Nephites. This intense hatred causes them to fight with "great courage and strength" (vs 43), even "like dragons" (vs 44). The Nephites, however, "were inspired by a better cause" (vs 45). They received strength from the Lord and fought for: - their homes 🏡 - their wives 👩‍❤️‍👨 - their children 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 - their liberty - their church - their rite to worship 🙏 So why is it important that this was included in the Book of Mormon for our day? We fight a battle daily against the Adversary. Like the Nephites we can prepare our own weapons and breastplates to defend ourselves. We can study the scriptures, pray, and live so that the Holy Ghost is our companion. Like the Nephites we can rely on and follow the council from our living prophet. Like the Nephites we can be "inspired by a better cause". Like the Nephites we can pray to the Lord for strength. What is your better cause? What is your reason for resisting temptation? What is your hope? We rise by lifting others. ⠀ ⠀ Lately, I have been trying to really "do unto others." When someone does something great, I try to thank them.⠀ ⠀ When I see something interesting on social media, I comment on it.⠀ ⠀ When I hear a podcast I like, I rate and review and share!⠀ ⠀ These are tiny little things but they lift ME up, probably much more than they matter to anyone else!⠀ ⠀ How do you rise by lifting others?⠀ ⠀ #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #liftothers

This is from several days ago, but just getting around to sharing. How many remember this from scripture mastery? 🙋‍♀️ Alma 41:10 We recently had a dinner discussion with our kiddos about what is real happiness. I think it evolved from one of them saying something along the lines of, "If I had my one x-box like so and so, then I would be so happy." We asked if the x-box really would bring happiness. We talked about the differences between pleasure, happiness, and joy. As a mother, I want my children to know where true happiness (joy) comes from. I want them to know that Jesus Christ is that source. That it is ok to enjoy life's pleasures when our 💓 knows they are not a replacement for joy (And right now, their pleasure is getting to play 🎮video games without a time limit.⏳) But there may come a day when what the world claims as happiness, the pleasures of the world, get a hold of them. I hope that we have taught them well enough that they know they can turn back to Christ and experience real joy. Eternal happiness. #thechurchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaintsmember #mormon #mormonmon #lds #ldsmom #momswhoknow #womenwhoknow #bookofmormon #thebookofmormon #readthebookofmormon #bookofmormonlettering #faithjournal #scripturestudy #studythescriptures #scripturepower #scripturejournal #scripturejournaling

I thought my family was complete with four kids. I was getting old and I didn't feel a need to have another one (even though my kids were begging us to have another!). Things were good. ⠀ ⠀ Our youngest was 7 and we were out of the baby stage.⠀ ⠀ Then, we found out that our family was not complete and we were going to have another little baby boy!⠀ ⠀ This podcast talks about what that experience was like for me as an older mom, with a few scary moments along the way. ⠀ ⠀ What would your reaction be if you found out you were pregnant when you weren't expecting it??⠀ ⠀ #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #unexpectedpregnancy #babylove

Kids’ nutrition is just as important, if not more important, than ours! Growing kids need to fuel their bodies all day long as they are growing, learning and of course, running around with all of their crazy energy! It is hard to get the right amount of fruits, veggies, proteins and ever other food group in their bodies - whether it be because they are picky eaters or just because our lives are so busy that we just don’t provide it consistently. How about inserting a delicious shake into their day to pack them full of all this goodness?! It is a great substitute for breakfast on busy school days or as an afternoon snack for the kiddos who go right from school to an activity or even after dinner as a snack if your kid is one who has the munchies before bed! Comment below if your kids could benefit from having a boost of nutrition during the day. #vegan #gluten -free #momswhoknow

Yesterday, in primary we talked a little about Naaman and Elisha in 2 Kings 5. Naaman was upset with the prophet, Elisha because he had provided such a simple solution to his request for how to be healed of his leprosy. He thought Elisha needed to come out to him and call down powers from heaven to heal him in a grand scene. Thankully, the servant of Naaman recognized that the great miracle of being healed could happen because of simpley washing as the prophet had directed. Naaman followed the prophet, Elisha's, instructions and was healed. How often do we look for grand solutions to our heartaches or discouragement when daily prayer and scripture study are actually the solution? How much more willing are we to jump in and serve during a crisis that to simply minister each day? What are the simple things you do that have big impact? For me, my essential simple things are scripture study and exercise. #momswhoknow #womenwhoknow #bookofmormon #thebookofmormon #readthebookofmormon #illustratedfaith #bookofmormonlettering #faithjournal #scripturestudy #studythescriptures #scripturepower #scripturejournal #scripturejournaling
Gather together names of different kinds of professionals who will be able to help you if you need support postpartum. Include names of practitioners who have experience working with new moms. Research this stuff in advance. Maybe you will never need it! But if you do start to feel physical pain, depression or anxiety - or just scared and alone - it's so nice to know where to turn. You aren't alone. So many women (including myself) have faced the darkness and the messiness of new motherhood -- and have needed and received support. New moms are biologically programmed to have wide open hearts, which means we feel emotional and vulnerable. Our babies need our hearts to be open so they can feel us and know us intimately. There's nothing wrong with feeling all these big feelings. You just need other humans to show up and help you feel safe. And you need to hear: You're doing a wonderful job with your baby. Do you know what kind of support you will need once your baby arrives? Planning in advance for how you will get that support makes a huge difference in mom's (and therefore baby's) emotional and physical wellness. Get a FREE Survival Kit for New Moms Today! The podcast this week is all about parenting!⠀ ⠀ I really liked Jeremy's take on parenting because it goes deeper than just dealing with behavior. He talks about building a strong relationship with your child and meeting them where they are.⠀ ⠀ When I focus on what I want from my kids, I might get short term results. Lasting results come from a different focus, one that honors my kids as whole people.⠀ ⠀ Jeremy talked about energy. and this concept stood out to me. our kids need energy from us one way or another- how are they going to get it? I want that to be positive and loving energy.⠀ ⠀ What stood out to you on the podcast this week?⠀ ⠀ #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #parenting
These verses in Alma 36 are so powerful after you read if the pain Alma felt while repenting. This time reading them I was in tears. I felt his joy. I pictured him with a radiant, joy filled smile as he recounted this to his son, Helaman. Two words come toy mind in reading this. The first is relief. Can you imagine or have you felt the relief of having your sins removed by the Atonement of Jesus Christ? I hope so. The second word is freedom. We read time and again in e Book of Mormon that Satan desires to bind us with sin. Alma, in calling upon the Savior, was released from "the everlasting chains of death"(vs. 18). He was free. Just writing this fills my 💓 with joy and lightness. Because of the Atonement of Christ we CAN find relief and freedom. How grateful I am I am for my Savior. How I hope you have felt the joy that comes from Him. #bookofmormon #thebookofmormon #momswhoknow #womenwhoknow #readthebookofmormon #illustratedfaith #messybookofmormonjournaling #bookofmormonlettering #faithjournal #scripturestudy #mormon #mormonmon #lds #ldsmom #studythescriptures #scripturepower #scripturejournal #scripturejournaling

My thoughts from yesterday's post turned to this scripture in Exodus. The people of Israel are leaving Egypt. They have the Red Sea in front of them. They have Pharaoh and his armies behind them. Talk about feeling trapped and unsure. Many of the Israelites lose hope, thinking it would have been better to stay in Egypt and serve the Egyptians. This verse was Moses' reply to them. Sometimes the "stand still" part is the hardest. We want to be doing something, to have a plan, an action. But when we do not take a moment to stand still we often cannot recognize the influence of the Holy Ghost and be witnesses to "the salvation of the Lord." Stand still, sister, the Lord has this. The Fill Your Own Cup Challenge helped me to FINALLY get a long-awaited pedicure! ⠀ ⠀ I love relaxing in the massage chair and taking a little time for me...even though I had Carter on my lap eating his snack while I was there. He dipped his toes in the water a few times, but other than that it was pretty relaxing. 😆 hey, moms do what they have to do!⠀ ⠀ How are you relaxing today?⠀ ⠀ #FillYourOwnCupChallenge #momswhoknow #momswhoknowpodcast #momlife #relax
One of my favorite lines, and life's goal, is found in Alma 34:38 "live in thanksgiving daily" It has been a favorite for several years and something I strive to do. Some days are better than others, and sometimes I just try to recognize what there is to be grateful for in a situation. It truly is wonderful how much more peace and joy we find in life when we approach it with gratitude. Lines at the grocery store are not too long when you look at your full cart with gratitude that you can afford groceries. Not being able to find a parking spot 🚗 at meet the teacher night can be a grateful moment when you realize your kids go to a school where the parents show up for events and support their children. Chocolate smeared on the walls by a 2 year old's little fingers isn't so bad because 1. It washes off. 2. It is chocolate, hopefully you got some too 🍫. 3. The smile on your two year old's face because that boy loves chocolate. Joy, comfort and relaxation. That stuff is hard to find in the early days of motherhood. Make a list of things that you know make you feel good. When you're depleted - this will be an important list to refer to. Think of things you can do for yourself to lift your spirits and give you some hope, energy, joy, or ease. Emotional wellness is the foundation of your entire life. Do you know what kind of support you will need once your baby arrives? Planning in advance for how you will get that support makes a huge difference in mom's (and therefore baby's) emotional and physical wellness. Get a FREE Survival Kit for New Moms Today! Let's make a list of places in your area where you can go with your baby, even when you're not feeling at the top of your game. These need to be places where you feel relatively comfortable spending time, even when baby is noisy, needs to be nursed or has a total blow-out diaper. What if you never made it out of your PJs today? It's OK! You can still hang out in these places. Do you know what kind of support you will need once your baby arrives? New moms are vulnerable and dependent and need lots of help. We rely on the kindness and generosity of others while we are moving through pregnancy and that first intense and difficult year postpartum. Sometimes it's not easy to ask for help or to show that we're struggling. Do you pride yourself on being super competent, having your sh*t together and being ultra independent? I'm sorry, mama. It's time to begin letting go of the grip you've had on doing it all yourself. Do you know what kind of support you will need once your baby arrives? Where will your food be coming from in the weeks following the birth of your baby? Being fed and eating well translates to feeling healthy, cared for, safe and loved. Hey friends I wanted to tell you about these laundry soap sheets I was introduced to last week. Someone on a UC parents board mentioned that the “mature” washing machines in his dorm don’t do well with laundry pods and struggle to break down the outside material, thereby leaving kind of a big mess and not really clean clothes. They suggested these laundry soap sheets. I ordered a box on @amazon 45 sheets for about $11.50, and tried one this week. It worked perfectly! It’s not a piece infused with soap IT IS THE SOAP so the whole sheet dissolves. Kinda feels like think craft foam. They are super light and won’t be a chore lugging down to the laundry room and should make washing a breeze for WB. Just thought I’d share my find. #laundrytip #WBgoestocollege #Amazon #momswhoknow #sharingiscaring

😀As I sit here in a behavioral/neurological health office I can’t help but think that I never thought I’d be here. But I am beyond grateful that I am here today!! There is hope, there is help and there’s good, amazing people in the world who know how to help us with what we need! We never know what’s going to come to us on our journey of life but I can say how grateful I am for my Savior who knows and understands me and each of you and helps us through!! We are all great and wonderful just the way we are. We are given opportunities to learn and grow if we’ll just look at the bumps in life as just that ~ opportunities 😉 I am so thankful to those who have smiled at me today and for the moments I was able to pass my smile on to other Moms and Dads who are going through this same thing with their kiddos ❤️ #iwanttohelpothers #anxietyishard #wecandohardthings #nevergiveup #momswhoknow #justloveothers #youneverknowwhatpeoplearegoingthrough #smileshelp #sharemoreindividualloveeveryday

Sometimes I think that I need to parent like the “Joneses” parent....that the best way to raise my kids is to take them on vacations, sign them up for a million sport activities, buy them the trendy toy, make sure their closet is packed with their favorite clothing, etc, etc. ⠀ .⠀ But you know what I realized the other night......all it took was a 99 cent bag of marshmallows and a few logs of firewood to share some laughs and make memories. ⠀ .⠀ Kids don’t need as much as sometimes we (I) think they need. They need love, guidance, basic needs taken care of, good role models, etc. None of this (excluding basic needs) costs money. ⠀ .⠀ My kids faces lit up the minute I told them we were going to have a campfire and roast marshmallows. We had so much fun together laughing and trying to roast the “perfect” marshmallow. And all it cost was 99 cents. ⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ -⠀ #parenting #beingaparent #savingmoney #onabudget #momlife #raisinggoodkids #momswhoknow #momming #sahm #parentinghacks #momhacks #frugalliving #frugallife #frugalparenting #frugalmom #sweetfrugallife #budgetlife #momsonabudget #debtfree #debtfreecommunity

Happy Mother’s Day! Being a mom ain’t easy and it’s not always fun or exciting. It’s wearing the hats of a cook, a nurse, an Uber driver, a maid, a teacher, etc.... it’s feeling guilty for not doing things just right or wishing you could’ve said something different. It’s being there EVERY day. Motherhood isn’t a part time job and it’s not something you do once in awhile. I’m grateful that I can call myself not only a birth mother( anyone with a uterus and can have a baby) but a MOTHER ( the 24/7 kind who sacrifices her own wishes and desires. ) I just pray that all of my children know they are loved and I want them to be happy. I hope and pray that I’m setting a righteous example that even if they don’t see or pay attention to right now, one day they will remember the example I set and be an example to their own families one day. 🙏🏻💕 #imomsohard #momswhoknow #mothersday2018 #allmychildren
Happy Mothers Day! I wanted to share this little video I made highlighting some of the key points of one of my favorite talks by Sister Julie B Beck. "Mothers who know do less. They permit less of what will not bear good fruit eternally. They allow less media in their homes, less distraction, less activity that draws their children away from their home. Mothers who know are willing to live on less and consume less of the world’s goods in order to spend more time with their children—more time eating together, more time working together, more time reading together, more time talking, laughing, singing, and exemplifying. These mothers choose carefully and do not try to choose it all. Their goal is to prepare a rising generation of children who will take the gospel of Jesus Christ into the entire world. Their goal is to prepare future fathers and mothers who will be builders of the Lord’s kingdom for the next 50 years. That is influence; that is POWER." It's not the easiest way to paint, but it's an important way to get things done. I have always liked my Littles being a part of my day and of my life. I believe in "Come, let's learn and experience together." #cherishthemoments #ryderdie #momswhoknow #grandmaswhoknow #lifeisgoodbecauseGodisgood #makingmemories
Simplicity Parenting 101: kids actually do better with less. Less stuff that is. So, maybe this weekend, think “outside of the box” 😉 and get rid of all the toys. My kids colored a box for hours the other day. That’s more time than they’ve played with ALL of their toys in the basement combined. Happy Friday!!
So we’re in the war chapters of Alma and this particular scripture is when Captain Moroni tells Teancum to attack the city of Mulek which is currently possessed by the Lamanites. But Teancum “saw that is was impossible that he could overpower them while they were in their fortifications.” • So how do we liken this verse to us today? • Let’s say that the city of Mulek represents any place or circumstance today in which Satan has a powerful grasp and influence. That could be at a particular party we want to go to that has alcohol, or with a movie/TV show depicting violence and bloodshed, music with inappropriate lyrics, or even staying up too late and not getting enough sleep. (I know for me, when I don’t get enough sleep I am less patient with my kids and then we have more contention!) These are places or circumstances where Satan has an advantage over us. He is in his stronghold; his fortification. When we recognize places or circumstances in our lives that give Satan power, do we want to resist or avoid all together? • Years ago I heard the analogy of a cliff—would you rather avoid the cliff completely, or maybe just go look over the edge a little bit? What is the cost of avoiding the cliff versus resisting? We can also use the analogy with cookies—or in my case, Hershey kisses—if I saw a bowl of Hershey kisses sitting on my counter, it would be REALLY hard to resist eating them. I’d rather not even see them! • May we look at our lives and ask ourselves, “where does the adversary have an advantage over me?” And then, HOW can I gain power over the adversary? • Perhaps we need to delete some songs (😬, I know that is hard!) or change what we watch, what we read... but may we answer like Teancum and “abandon...and return...” to places that will keep us spiritually safe! This war we are raising our children in—and are in ourselves—is truly us against the adversary, so let’s not give him any power! #scripturepower #lds #faith #trials #blessed #scripturelessons #likenthescriptures #momswhoknow #teachthechildren #sharegoodness
Thanks Timehop for this fckn awesome memory today, 1 year ago: nap time with @avachere Times like these show me how lucky I am to have this baby in my bed every day, every night, whenever she wants. Sometimes I spice up my scripture study with a little treat. I'm so spoiled! I've been trying to get to know my Savior better by following President Russell M. Nelson's assignment a year ago when he said, "Study everything Jesus Christ is by prayerfully and vigorously seeking to understand what each of His various titles and names means personally for you. For example, He really is your Advocate with the Father. He will take your side. He will stand up for you. He will speak on your behalf, every time, as you choose to be more like Him." I use the Topical Guide added to the back of the LDS version of the King James version of the Bible. Btw, Advocate has been my #1 favorite name! He is there rooting for me! Ooooo! My study time is an exciting time of my day. #scripture #scripturepower #lifeisgoodbecauseGodisgood #momswhoknow #comingtoknowmySavior #thatmychildrenmayknowtowhatsourcetolook
