The true test of character is in people’s actions... how they live their life, how they treat you, how they treat others.
If you pay attention, you won’t put your trust in the wrong people or have unrealistic expectations of others.
Case in point: If he says he loves you and is ready to commit, but he is too busy most weekends to spend time together, it’s the behavior that speaks truth. Or if a family member says she’ll truly show up for you but she isn’t where she said she’d be time and again, heed the actions, not the words.
Stop banging your head against the wall trying to change people; “listen” up to who they really are.

The other day when I received news that was disappointing, my mind instantly went to what I needed to do to ultimately rectify the situation. Planning everything before I even had all the information to do so.
We are often 10 steps ahead of ourselves. We plan everything before it’s even here or could even possibly know what is yet to come in the exact way it will.
We don’t have a crystal ball.
I quickly reminded myself, one step at a time. Take one step toward the next step. Live for right now and when the next info, move, step, comes then take it. Don’t get ahead of yourself. It’s a waste of time.

It’s not Monday but... here’s my #mondaymantra
for the week.
“I surrender to the outcome of all possibilities.”
This came to me this week as I had to completely let go of all plans. I had to surrender into what my body was screaming at me to do.
This past week I was at home, laying around a lot having loads of time to reflect, and feel. It was a gift. It was also extremely frustrating.
I found out I had shingles, which was basically my bodies way of saying HOLD UP, slow down, and get quiet.
This experience really made me realise that right now more than ever, in the midst of our transitional timeline we need to surrender. To let go of the plan and just walk one foot in front of the other, day by day.
As we know, the plan rarely works out in our favour. But we try and mentally put the pieces of the puzzle together before we even see all the pieces. It’s a way of choosing comfort. 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️ (queen of doing this).
So moving into this week after much needed rest, a long weekend break, it’s time to move forward. To let go and surrender all outcomes to what is meant to be without having to know all the answers. When the guessing or mind comes in to try and figure out what the future holds, breathe into those feelings- allow them to come up and then let them go.
This can be tough but hey... who ever said going after your dreams was easy? .
You’ve already told the universe what you want. You’ve planted the seeds and have been watering them.
Now let them bloom.
Let go and watch as they grow into your existence. It’s all in the surrender.
Monday mantra. I am courageous, I am determined. I am able.
How often do you question yourself and your abilities. " I'm afraid"" I can't do that pose." "I'm not that good," and on and on we go. Give your self a little credit. Do you get up and go to class? Do you continue to go to class? Are you improving in your practice? There you go..
Not only does this apply to yoga, but through out your life. Believe in yourself. Have no doubt in your mind. You are quite capable. Just believe (and effort helps immensely). A little effort goes a long way. Have faith.🙏

I'm sure there's something you've been dying to try or been telling yourself that you'll do it. Just start. Stop waiting for the perfect time to do it. Time is the one thing in life that we can never make more of. We need to keep moving forward if you want to move in the direction of your dream or goal. You don't need to wait for the stars and planets to align, nor do you need to feel that you're not ready. Maybe it's eating better, wanting to meditate each day, working out three times a day, getting your finances together... what it is, just begin and begin now!
