I am not an expert prayer y’all. One of the hardest things about my conversion was actually learning how to pray. Before I joined the church I was very into ‘yo jesus help a girl out’ prayers. I realize now this wasn’t the most respectful or reverant and it still makes me feel pretty guilt. Yet on my first Sunday being asked to pray during sacrament meeting I felt so overwhelmed that I got my thees, thous and even threw a thum in there (I was so nervous). Thing is prayer is like the process of learning to skate or ride a bike. We start off shaky but with practice and dedication we get so much better. Prayer is the exact same thing. We start of shaky and being afraid to mess up then with practice we get so much better at it. I’ve really seen the amazing blessings that can come when we include prayer into our daily schedules. It’s like the speed dial to someone who is always going to listen to us. #sud #ldschurch #lds #ldsquotes #latterdaysaint #latterdaysaints #ldsquote #mormon #mormonsgetit #mormonlife #mormonsud #mormonquote #mormonquotes
It’s officially summer! ☀️
Sorry it has been so long since the last post! My social media fast went longer than expected. 🤷♀️In Alma 16, the wicked city of Ammonihah is destroyed in one day... after they lamanites said that the city could not be destroyed. The lamanites were were not destroyed were taught about Christ by Alma and Amulek.
Do you ever forget the extent of the power of God?
Hello friends! “I believe that the Lord is anxious to put into our hands inventions of which we laymen have hardly had a glimpse” - President Spencer W. Kimball (Ensign, Oct. 1974, 10)
I'm so happy for this opportunity to share a message of great value and importance that has blessed so many lives! Have a great day and God loves you.

Please excuse Nephi’s language.
Oh, how lovely was the morning!
Radiant beamed the sun above.
Bees were humming, sweet birds singing,
Music ringing thru the grove,
When within the shady woodland
Joseph sought the God of love,
When within the shady woodland
Joseph sought the God of love.

My parents have an adorable tradition with their grand kids. Each one when they are just toddlers get to paint on a canvas how every they want, for how ever long they want and then they hang them up in the house. 😍😍😍 Leonard was so excited to finally get to do his one of a kind artwork for grandma and papa house. ❤❤❤
One of my favorite people moved far away yesterday. The man is hilarious, an amazing dancer, encouraging, always late, making him truly a legend. Till we meet again sir.

Hi Group, In 2 Nephi 25, Nephi's profound prophecies & writings include: In V1-9, Nephi delighted in the words of Isaiah, whose words were difficult for his people to understand, but "are plain unto all those that are filled with the spirit of prophecy." (V4). Nephi wrote in plainness & bore witness that both his & Isaiah's prophecies would be fulfilled & of great worth in the latter days. In V10-16, Nephi prophesied about: Jerusalem's two destructions, the rejection & crucification of Christ by the Jews, & their subsequent scattering, Christ's infinite atonement & the return of Israel. In V17, a "marvelous work & wonder," (the restoration of Christ's gospel & bringing forth the Book of Mormon), would take place in the latter days. V19-20, Jesus Christ would come 600 years after Lehi left Jerusalem. There is no other way to be saved, but by Christ. In V21-30, Nephi's writings, (B of M), would be preserved & handed down for future generations. Nations & people who would have the Book of Mormon would be judged according to its tenets. Nephi's writings, (B of M), were written to persuade people "to believe in Christ, & to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do." (V23). Nephi counseled, "the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not;..." (V28). Application today? How may we assist in the great work of bringing souls to Christ? In V26, Nephi stated, "we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." In V30, Nephi exhorted, "it shall be expedient, ye must keep the performances and ordinances of God..." As you live the principles & ordinances of the gospel, others will want to know the Savior because they know you. With love, Dawna
As I have been thinking about ways to know my Heavenly Father and Savior better, I have thought about the temple! A couple weeks ago was our Stake Conference and I couldn’t help but walk around the temple and take some pictures with my children. It is such a sacred place where even standing on the grounds we can feel closer to our Father. As we attend the temple we are able to be instructed, to make sacred covenants, and to come to know our Father and His will for us better! Most definitely the temple is a place we can grow closer to our Father and Savior and know them better! #ponderize

I think I’ve talked about one of my favorite children’s songs on here before but as a little kid I would be so eager to go to choir at my old church so I could beg to play the song on the radio (this was before cds y’all). Thing is when I was listening to a song about casting all my cares (afflictions) onto Heavenly Father the magnitude of what I was listening to never seemed to quite sink in. When I got older and things started going wrong I questioned and I gave up. Where was this god who promised to help me through the rough patches? Where was he when I needed him? Turns out to cast your cares and all those afflictions upon Heavenly Father first you have to put some work in and cast a huge net of faith. Things happen. Our lives here on earth aren’t going to be perfect but as long as we keep casting our nets of faith Heavenly Father is sure to see us through all those rough times #mormonsud #mormonsgetit #ldssud #mormons #mormonlife #mormonquote #mormonquotes #latterdaysaints #ldschurch #ldsyouth #ldsquote #ldsquotes #latterdaysaint
Hi Group, In 2 Nephi 24, Nephi quoted Isaiah chapter 14. In V1-3, Israel will be gathered with the help of other nations, & return to God's mercy & covenant. They will triumph over their oppressors & receive millennial rest from bondage. (Likewise, the faithful who triumph against Babylon; the world, will receive eternal rest & peace). Israel's oppressors would be brought down. In V4-21, we read Isaiah’s haunting & poetic song which typifies the fall of the king of Babylon, (possibly King Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon being symbolic for the world), to the fall of Lucifer, (who was pre-mortal Satan). Lucifer fell from God's presence for rebellion, & went to earth to reap havoc on nations. V22-32 reveals the following dualism: God cut off Babylon & Assyria, (both are symbolic of the world), just as unrepentant sinners will be cut off from God's presence. At the Second Coming, the wicked who fight against Israel, (Including: Babylon, Assyria, Philistia & evil nations), will be brought down & the Savior will bring forth Zion. (Palestina is Latin for the Philistines who persecuted Israel, & were captured by the Assyrians at the time of King Ahaz, king of Judah). Israel will triumph, as will all people, including the poor in spirit who trust & follow the Lord. Application today? In V26, the Lord's hand is, "the hand that is stretched out upon ALL nations," that follow Him. There has never been a more crucial time for our nation to be “one nation under God.” Pres. Gordon B. Hinkley stated, "Now, brothers and sisters, we must do our duty, whatever that duty might be. Peace may be denied for a season. Some of our liberties may be curtailed. We may be inconvenienced. We may even be called on to suffer in one way or another. But God our Eternal Father will watch over this nation and all of the civilized world who look to Him...Our safety lies in repentance. Our strength comes of obedience to the commandments of God." (Oct. 2001). With love, Dawna
Faith!!! I have not seen my Heavenly Father in this mortal life, but I have felt of His love! His love for me as well as His love for others. I know of His majesty and existence as I look at the beautiful things of this world, the details that went into His creations! Coming to know our Father truly does take faith, faith as we pray to Him, that He is there, listening and ready to provide us with answers, help and guidance. I might not see Him, but because of my faith, I know He exists and I have received that witness through the power of the Holy Ghost! He is our Eternal Father in Heaven and we are His beloved children!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️ #ponderize

We are taught many small and simple things in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to be reminded that in total and over a significant period of time, these seemingly small things bring to pass great things.
So is the powerful effect over time of the small and simple things we are taught in the scriptures and by living prophets. Consider the scripture study we’ve been taught to incorporate into our daily lives. Or consider the personal prayers and the kneeling family prayers that are regular practices for faithful Latter-day Saints. Consider attendance at seminary for youth or institute classes for young adults. Though each of these practices may seem to be small and simple, over time they result in powerful spiritual uplift and growth. This occurs because each of these small and simple things invites the companionship of the Holy Ghost, the Testifier who enlightens us and guides us into truth.

Hi Group, In 2 Nephi 23, Nephi quoted Isaiah chapter 13. In V1-5, Babylon is used to symbolized the wickedness of the world at the time of the Second Coming of Christ. At that time, there will be a great multitude sanctified & mighty people, (saints), who will come from all over the world, & gather to go to battle for Zion. In V6-10, we learn that that there will be a day of reckoning for the wicked. All will see the power of the Almighty, when the Savior returns. "Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is at hand..." (V6). There will be great signs in the heavens. The sun and moon will go dark & give off no light. In V11-12, the proud & haughty will be punished & destroyed, & men will be scarce, "more precious than fine gold."(V12). In V13, there will be earthquakes & natural calamities. In V14-22, Isaiah foresaw the destruction of Babylon by Medes, (Ancient Persia, around 600 BC), & duly compared it to the destruction of the wicked at the Second Coming. Application today? As the world becomes progressively more wicked before the coming of the Lord, we must identify the "Babylons," (wickedness), that exist all around us in popular culture & in our own lives. How may we purge those Babylons, & strive to become the sanctified & mighty people Isaiah saw in our day? Elder David R. Stone stated, "We do not need to become as puppets in the hands of the culture of the place and time. We can be courageous and can walk in the Lord’s paths and follow His footsteps. And if we do, we will be called Zion, and we will be the people of the Lord." (April 2006). With love, Dawna
Hopefully Chazz Michael Michaels isn’t compiling the new hymn book...
The other night as I was praying to my Heavenly Father, I started thinking about my Savior and his relationship with His Father. About what way He probably communicated with Him and how He was always sensitive to the will of His Father. About the love the Savior has for His Father and the Love our Father has for the Savior! As we try to navigate through this life, how great is it that we are striving to know our Father and elder brother, Jesus better!! For me this comes as I pray to my Father and try to keep His commandments. I’ve grown closer to my Savior as I have partaken if His atonement, turned to him for both forgiveness, strength and comfort. What helps you come to know your Father and Savior? #ponderize
