How many of you have been on a trek? 🙋♀️🙋♂️ A few years ago my hubby and I were able to be a ma and pa for our youth at Martin’s Cove. It was a very special experience that has left an impact on my life! We might not literally be having to pull handcarts in our lives, but each of us has burdens to carry and at times feel so alone. But we never are really alone! This is one message that I loved about the new Trek Movie!! Last night my family and I were invited to a prescreening. It was such a fun experience to be at @thisistheplaceheritagepark to view the movie! We missed out on the pulling the handcarts because of school. But, we enjoyed the ax throwing, learning about black powder rifles, a yummy dinner from @sugarhousebbqcompany , holding baby chicks and of course the movie!!! My kids loved it, it was funny and it had a great story line and message! As a youth leader I most definitely want my youth to see it!!! @trekthemovie opens up in theaters in Utah on April 6th ♥️
Hey y'all! Shout out to all my new followers! I thought I'd do a quick introduction. I love my 4 kids more then anything, my handsome husband, lemonade, homesteading, my chickens, hiking, camping, & just being outdoors! I conceal carry & pretty much always have a knife on me too. 🐔
I'm on a journey to a healthier more sustainable life & love helping others on their journey by getting Essential Oils into their home & helpung them kicking out the toxic chemical junk!
Oh & a silly tidbit about me I can touch the tip of my nose with my tongue!
So tell me something fun or silly about you!
Hi Group, Ether 10 is a primer on the consequences of good or evil in Jaredite society. The following list shows what happened to the various Jaredite kings in this chapter as a result of their choices during their reigns: Heth, (wicked), died in a famine. Shez, (righteous), rebuilt the broken kingdom & people. Shez Jr. (rebel), was killed by a robber. Riplakish did not do that which was right in the sight of God & heavily taxed the people. His people rose up & killed him. Morianton was personally wicked but justly ruled. Kim, (wicked), was overthrown by his brother, held captive & died. Levi, overthrew the wicked king & ruled righteously before the Lord & prospered. Corom ruled righteously as did Kish. Lib ruled righteously. His people prospered immensely & were industrious & in V28, "never could be a people more blessed than were they..." Hearthom's kingdom was overthrown & he & his children lived in captivity. Com allowed the robbers to return & did not prevail. Application today? In the promised land, (the Americas), various Jaredite kings & kingdoms were “swept off” when they turned away from God in iniquity. Moroni wrote, “And now, we can behold the decrees of God concerning this land, (the Americas), that it is a land of promise; and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall serve God, or they shall be swept off when the fulness of His wrath shall come upon them.” (Ether 2:9). As citizens of this "choice land," our mandate is to be a force for good, & to appoint leaders who uphold the Constitution, allowing us the “privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege...” (LDS Article of Faith #11 ). With love, Dawna
Why do you believe in God? Why do I believe in God??? It is just as President Uchtdorf’s quote says! It’s because of the things I have experienced, the things I have felt with my heart and mind. The things that the Holy Ghost has witnessed in my life to be true. There are plenty of things we do not yet know about our Father and probably will not know until we see Him again. But what I do know is that He exists. I just know it! I know it as I spend time outside and stand in awe of all of His creations. I know it as I sincerely and fervently pray to him. I am not praying to the air, I am praying to my Father & I have that deep love as His child for Him. I know it as prayers are answered, as tender mercies, that are not just coincidence happen! I know it, as I serve in my calling and I feel that love that He has for those I serve. I know it as I feel his love for my own children. And I know it as I read the scriptures and listen to His holy special witnesses testify of Him! He is our Father, the creator of earth and heaven, the being I most look up to and who I strive daily to become like! I love that through pondering over the scriptures we can really think about things! That we can ponder over what we believe and how we feel about our Father in Heaven. ♥️♥️♥️ #ponderize Mosiah 4:9
President Russell M. Nelson told us [in October 2015]: “Attacks against the Church, its doctrine, and our way of life are going to increase. Because of this, we need women who have a bedrock understanding of the doctrine of Christ and who will use that understanding to teach and help raise a sin-resistant generation. We need women who can detect deception in all of its forms. We need women who know how to access the power that God makes available to covenant keepers and who express their beliefs with confidence and charity. We need women who have the courage and vision of our Mother Eve.”
This message reassures me that despite the conditions of our day, we have many reasons to rejoice and be optimistic. I believe with all of my heart that we sisters do have the innate strength and faith that will allow us to meet the challenges of living in the last days. Sister Sheri Dew has written, “I believe that the moment we learn to unleash the full influence of converted, covenant-keeping women, the kingdom of God will change overnight.”
It will take concerted effort to be converted and to keep our covenants. To do so, we need to be girls and women who study the essential doctrines of the gospel and have an unshakable testimony of their truthfulness.

Hi Group, In Ether 9:1-15, Akish overthrew the kingdom. The Lord warned King Omer, in a dream, to take his family & leave the kingdom before Akish's secret society killed them. Jared, son of Omer, had been appointed king, & allowed his daughter to marry Akish. Akish, in turn, had his father in law Jared killed & took the throne. Evil Akish imprisoned & starved his own son to death. His other sons waged war against him & gave the kingdom back to Omer, who passed it on to his son Emer. In V16-27, righteous King Emer saw & recognized Christ. The Jaredites prospered under his rule. (This shows the importance of righteous leaders). The Lord poured out His blessings on the "choice land" & commanded, "whoso should possess the land should possess it unto the Lord, or they should be destroyed." Emer's throne passed to his son Coriantum, then Com, & then to Heth who embraced secret combinations & killed his father. In V28-34, prophets cried repentance to the wicked Jaredites, foretelling of a famine, & Heth had them killed. The Lord caused a drought, then poisonous serpents. When the people began to perish in famine, they turned to God & repented. The famine was lifted by the power of the Lord. Application today? After enduring severe trials & consequences for their actions, the Jaredites were sufficiently humbled & "compelled" to return to the Lord. (V35). By the Lord’s power, the land was blessed with rain which ended the famine. Likewise, spiritual famines are removed & blessings flow when we are sufficiently humble & obedient before the Lord. The prophet Alma taught, "Therefore, blessed are they who humble themselves without being compelled to be humble..." (Alma 32:16). Question: Are we a “humble" people, or are we a people who must be “compelled to be humble?” With love, Dawna
Have you ever just sat & thought about your Father in Heaven??? It really is mind blowing the wisdom and power He possesses! He is the creator of all things, including us. He is our Father and we have the potential to become like Him! Isn’t that the most inspirational thing ever!!! 💕 It helps me, when I start getting down, to remind myself that I am a Daughter of God. There is so much power in that statement! ♥️ #ponderize Mosiah 4:9

Who am I to judge another
When I walk imperfectly?
In the quiet heart is hidden
Sorrow that the eye can’t see.
Who am I to judge another?
Lord, I would follow thee.
I would be my brother’s keeper;
I would learn the healer’s art.
To the wounded and the weary
I would show a gentle heart.
I would be my brother’s keeper—
Lord, I would follow thee.
“Lord, I Would Follow Thee”, Hymns, 220

A new set of audio studies has been added to the store, created by Amanda White. My child has a hard time falling asleep on his own and he loves to listen to them. They help him relax and I love that he is learning gospel truths at the same time. They have been such a blessing to my family. #worthywrittenwords#ldsaudio#scripturestudy

Hi Group, In Ether 8:1-16, Jaredite King Omer reigned & begat Jared who rebelled & overthrew his father. When Jared lost the kingdom to Omer's sons Esrom & Coriantumr, Jared's fair daughter devised a secret plan to dance for for Akish, a friend of King Omer. When Akish asked Jared to marry his daughter, Jared required the head of King Omer as payment for his daughter’s hand. Akish in turn created a secret society (combination), to kill King Omer. Inspired by the devil, Akish & his secret combination of friends & kin, took oaths, leading the people astray. (Ancient Semitic oaths dating back to Cain). In V17-25, regarding secret combinations, (secret organizations & gangs), Moroni declared the following: They are wicked & abominable in God's sight. God never works in secret combinations, especially those that shed blood. Secret combinations caused the destruction of the Jaredite & Nephite people. Nations that use secret combinations for gain, power, bloodshed & vengeance, will be destroyed. Moroni exhorted Gentiles to awake to a sense of the awful situation, repent & purge secret combinations that seek to destroy God given freedom, & murder God's prophets. Application today? Moroni was commanded by God to warn latter day nations of the dangers of secret combinations & the importance of purging them from society. Latter day Prophet Pres. Ezra Taft Benson stated, "wickedness is rapidly expanding in every segment of our society...Secret combinations lusting for power, gain, & glory are flourishing...as the forces of evil increase under Lucifer’s leadership, & as the forces of good increase under the leadership of Jesus Christ, there will be growing battles..." (Oct. 1988). As battle lines are perpetually drawn between good & evil, may we be valiant & vigilant forces that “do good continually," & purge evil wherever it is found. “May come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved.” (V26), With love, Dawna
“Believe in God”... I love this quote by President Dieter F Uchtdorf, “There is no magic to belief. But wanting to believe is the necessary first step! God is no respecter of persons. He is your Father. He wants to speak to you. However, it requires a little scientific curiosity—it requires an experiment upon the word of God—and the exercise of a “particle of faith.” It also takes a little humility. And it requires an open heart and an open mind. It requires seeking, in the full meaning of the word. And, perhaps hardest of all, it requires being patient and waiting upon the Lord.” (Be Not Afraid, Only Believe) https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2015/10/be-not-afraid-only-believe?lang=eng #ponderize Mosiah 4:9

❤️👯♀️❤️ Feeling deeply grateful for the Q.NOOR Sisterhood FB group today. We have been tackling some pretty tricky issues and it has been nothing but inspiring. I keep thinking about this quote from Sister Dew “I believe that the moment we learn to unleash the full influence of converted, covenant-teaching women, the kingdom of God will change overnight.” #lds#baptismdress#mormonlife#reliefsociety
