I know only few will read this. This post ain't for everyone.
This song is dedicated to my beautiful black women. We have been through so much. This morning I heard this song and it touched me so very deepy. I dedicated it to myself as well.
We are talked about so poorly in media, We are being abandoned, disrespected, underrated, murdered, devalued, so many lost and trying to still gain approval by morphing our bodies, and we all have a story to tell that no one else will ever know or could fully understand...especially being the mothers of the beings on this Earth. We've been forsaken and taken for granted. We have experienced a deep cultural heartbreak.
BUT we still rise to the occasion with a beautiful smile on our face.
We still push forward even with a million resistances.
We don't talk lower because everyone says we're loud; we have the voice of trumpets because we, by nature, command the attention of all who were created in our image.
We are still creating and setting all the trends, that even the ones who disrespect us, follow.
We are loving ourselves more and more despite the number of our black men who don't; because we know oneday they will need restoration, and it can ONLY come from us.
So this struggle that we go through, is not in vain.
We will meet eachother as the goddesses and warriors that we are, on the other side. Where there is prosperity, unconditional love, kindness, generosity, mutual respect, internal wealth, and sincere appreciation for who we are and not just what we have to offer.
But to any black woman reading this: I love you very much sister, keep pushing...this is not in vain.
