DID YOU KNOW ?
The Story of
Kundan Lal Gujral
was born in the first decade of the twentieth century in Chakwal, Undivided Punjab (now in Pakistan).
Having lost his father at the tender age of ten, he started looking for avenues to support the family. Kundan Lal Gujral was the first in Peshawar to dig a tandoor right in the middle of the eatery. Since then, Peshawar was introduced to the culinary art of Tandoori chicken by Legendary Kundan Lal Gujral. This was a grand success. Soon he was in demand for Tandoori delicacy at social gathering and wedding feasts where he would use an improvised tandoor.
So yesterday we tried @motimahal_sa Restaurant In Dammam because we wanted to have Indian Food and in no time we coined down to try this restaurant which is in Mazrouiya Dammam.
The place wasnt crowded even on a Thursday night. We ordered our food after going through the food pics displayed on the tab kept at all the tables. We chose Shrimp Soup(18 sar)and were glad for that decision. It was a simple thick soup which had decent shrimp flavouring and wasnt overpowering.
And then from the tandoor section,we went for tandoori chicken and achari chicken tikka both priced at 33 sar, which was served on a sizzler plate and was so moist n juicy. The taste was good but we felt it would be better with a squeeze of lemon which wasnt served along with the dish, but was seperately given to us when we asked them.
And since it was our cheat day,we had to have biriyani. So with no doubt we ordered Mutton biryani.Yaaasss,we did the right thing🤗The rice was full of flavour and the touch of mint took it to another level. The mutton was boneless and very soft and the quantity was sufficient to be shared for 57 sar.
They have many branches in India and we have got one in Khobar too.We tried the Dammam branch and would definitely love to try the one in Khobar.
