🔥"IT'S LIKE MAGIC, I SWEAR!🔥 from @stoptheyoyonicole
- 1st year wedding anniversary trip to Oregon last year vs 2nd year wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii this year. The locations and outfits needed couldn't match the body image I had then and now more. I bought this dress months ago for this trip and couldn't wait to surprise my husband with it last night. We don't get gussied up very often, so the look on his face was priceless. I'm Soooo thankful for finding this amazing way of eating. Not only did it help my lose 50 lbs, but it gives me the best chance to keep it off. My body was addicted to sugar. I've found that by eliminating it 95% of the time, I can still eat delicious foods while on Keto and have occasional splurges to keep life in balance and still maintain an almost zero sugar / carb craving existence. It's like magic, I swear!! 😍 ***********************************
For anyone new to my page here is how I lost the weight:
I started keto on April 24th 2017 at 199 lb. I'm 5'9". For the first 2 weeks I just lowered my carbs to around 50 grams to slowly transition into a ketogenic diet. Then I went full force and got the keto flu. I didn't know what the keto flu was, so it was tough. If you're just starting a ketogenic diet you'll want to Google "Keto Flu". I then followed a strict ketogenic diet with only a 3 - 4 purposeful carb up meals
(Mostly sushi) and hit my goal weight October 4th 2017. I decided I wanted to lose him a few more pounds and was also nervous to increase my calories over the holidays so I actually ended up losing an additional 10 pounds over the last 4 months.
The macros/ calories I followed were the recommendations from the keto calculator found on the website from @ruledme
I would adjust every 10 pounds or so. I think I started at around 1,500 calories and ended up around 1215. I now consume around 1750 calories per day and still follow standard ketogenic macro percentages.
