To all the hustlers out there, posting pics of themselves at fancy restaurants, and talking about how they are always winning, I ask you this: what is your true purpose?
We all want to make money, my dude. I get that #letsgetthisbread
But I ask you: what is your industry? Is the raison d'etre of your whole career to make yourself money? Or are you supposed to be helping people?
I ask this, because I am damn curious. I see a lot of insurance agents, presumably my people, walking around, talking a big game about how much money they are making.
Our society is so hyper focused on image and money, that I often find myself out of touch with people. Do I like money? Of course. Do I make good money? Absolutely. Is money my only reason for being in this business. A resounding NO.
Always, my main goal is to help people. This is what makes ME feel successful. This is gives ME a sense of accomplishment. If your insurance agent or financial advisor doesn't have this attitude, show them the door. Chances are they don't care about you; they are only looking for the sale. Look for people who feel pride on serving others. Look for people who seek to educate you rather than shove a product down your throat. Look for those who are authentic and humble - they are the real deal.
