In these largely unexplored territories with amazing scenery, mountain tribes still live in harmony with abundant nature. The GR North (5 days) is the most challenging trek of the range, crossing deep valleys, abrupt peaks and passes, and secret rivers where you can refresh in waterfalls and pools after hours in the subtropical heat. I was happy to do it with my Caledonian friends! HIGHLIGHTS: Sharing the life of mountain tribes during the evenings and sleeping in traditional "cases", eating all the fruits and seeds on the trail, the dramatic and frequent transitions between the dense wet forests and the dry Niaouli savannahs.
